Chapter 321: Sleep Here Tonight
PA Kim dusted his clothes elegantly. "Your parents have such wonderful personalities, I wonder how they produced you, the genetically mutated—"
"Get lost!" Jisoo shrieked, aiming a kick at him.
PA Kim smiled widely, opened the car door and got in. "When will you learn to be more gentle and ladylike?" He quickly drove off when he saw Jisoo raise her hand to hit him.
Jisoo took a deep breath and called Chaeyoung as she turned around to head back home. "Chaeyoung."
"Hmm?" Chaeyoung yawned, keeping her voice down. Jisoo heard a scuffling noise, as if Chaeyoung was getting out of bed. "I just put my kids to sleep, have your parents arrived?"
"Is Seokjin an idiot? My dad asked him what he works as, and he said he works as a PA," Jisoo laughed while pressing the elevator button.
"He's not wrong though," said Chaeyoung with an amused smile, slowly coming out from the guest room, "He IS a personal assistant, isn't he? In fact, he's an excellent PA! What are you worried about? Worried that your parents might disapprove of him?"
"Who... who's worried?"
"If you are not worried, why are you stammering?" Chaeyoung leaned on the second floor railing, laughing delightfully.
"I—"
"Speechless? See, you have another perception of him, I told you so."
"Nonsense."
Chaeyoung was skeptical and raised her eyebrows upon hearing a beep. Jisoo had ended the call immediately? That only seemed to confirm her assumption.
In Chaeyoung's opinion, as long as PA Kim took the chance, it would not be a problem to win over his future in-laws. Filthy rich businessmen and tycoons could not scare PA Kim, so how could parents-in-law?
Speaking of parents-in-law, Chaeyoung turned around to look at the bedroom. For Taehyung, her parents would be the last people he wanted to face in this lifetime.
That war ruined his military career.
The beginning of the war—her father. The end of the war—her mother.
No matter the beginning or the end, he could no longer go back to the Taehyung he used to be.
Chaeyoung leaned on the railing, looking down, phone in hand. It seemed like she and Taehyung were on the right track, but there was always something that made her feel uneasy.
Cough cough—
Heavy coughing came from Taehyung's room, and Chaeyoung quickly went inside.
Taehyung was lying on the bed, coughing. Chaeyoung went over and sat by the bed. Before she could say anything, Taehyung grabbed her and pinned her below him on the bed.
Chaeyoung could only stare up at him in shock.
His eyes were bright and clear—in fact, there were no signs of sickness on his face.
Taehyung leaned his forehead against hers and pulled the blankets over them.
"What are you doing?" Chaeyoung couldn't see anything in the dark. Her intention of avoiding his kiss failed as his lips met hers.
"You can't believe everything that little monster said," grumbled Taehyung and pressed a quick kiss to her lips.
That sentence was so full of frustration it made Chaeyoung want to laugh. How was this man so adorable?
