Chapter 511: This Dum-Dum
"I'm right, aren't I? That's why you're pissed," Chaeyoung sneered tauntingly as Jungkook helped her up from the floor. "You and Taehyung are the same; both of you are just ignorant and self-deceptive cowards!"
Suddenly, Kim Tianmu pulled a gun out and aimed it at Chaeyoung. His fingers were wrapped around the trigger so tightly it seemed like even the slightest movement would cause the gun to fire.
"Do you honestly think that you can prove your love to Mother by killing me?" Chaeyoung provoked as she slowly walked toward Kim Tianmu. "Then do it! Do it right here and now!"
Kim Tianmu locked his gaze on Chaeyoung and tightened his grip. "How I feel is my business, but you and the rest of the Park family must die!"
The sound of gunfire pierced the air. Jungkook embraced Chaeyoung and pulled her aside quickly.
Kim Tianmu stood like a statue, his face turning pale.
"I warned you; I wouldn't let you go if you laid a finger on her," a voice echoed from behind him. A man approached him, revealing himself as he slowly lowered the gun in his hand.
"This time, it's your arm as a warning. If you dare touch her again, I wouldn't mind killing my own father." Taehyung stood before Kim Tianmu, his cold glare moving to his father's bloody arm. "You know better than me who the real culprit behind all this is. Don't you dare release your anger and hatred at Chaeyoung just because you don't dare to face the truth. I will not allow it."
Kim Tianmu forgot the bullet in his arm for a moment. He stared at Taehyung and asked in disbelief, "What do you mean?"
"Wonjie is still alive. The woman who you love so much is still alive," Taehyung declared, smirking. "Do I have to spell it out for you?"
Taehyung looked in the direction where Chaeyoung had disappeared.
That dum-dum, why would she put everything on the line like that?
Right now, not only Kim Tianmu but Lee Chenghao had his sights on her. He had to hurry and find all the people behind this.
Chaeyoung was harmless. As long as he kept himself away from Chaeyoung, the people responsible for this would aim their target on him.
At least, for now, this was safer for Chaeyoung.
"Right now, killing Chaeyoung is not your priority. You need to go and find Lee Chenghao," Taehyung said quietly, turning around to look at his father. "I believe this job will be a piece of cake for you."
Lee Chenghao.
Color seeped back into Kim Tianmu's pale face, and his eyes turned cold.
Jungkook held onto Chaeyoung tightly and they only slowed down after they reached the corner of a building. Chaeyoung was panting exhaustively, her cheek burning from the slap earlier.
Jungkook checked her face anxiously and grumbled, "Why did you babble so much to him?"
"He would kill me either way. Since I was already at gunpoint, shouldn't I be given my final words?" Chaeyoung protested. Her cheek was so painful, it hurt when she talked.
Jungkook sighed and hugged her tenderly. He was furious with Taehyung; he swore he would never hand his sister over to a guy like him again.
At an unnamed villa, two bodyguards in black stood in front of the main door, their surroundings somewhat bleak and desolate.
"Master Lee, Young Master went to Kim Tianmu, he was not by the woman's side," the underling reported.
Despite at the age of eighty-five, Lee Chenghao looked very fresh and energetic. A satisfied smile appeared on his face when he heard his underling's report.
