Chapter 161: Not a Least Bit Adorable
Taehyung made up his mind to eat Chaeyoung up today. No matter what, Chaeyoung would not be able to run away now.
But at that very moment, Chaeyoung's phone received a video call.
Chaeyoung took a breath of surprise. As if she had received the Emperor's imperial mandate of salvation from death, she promptly pushed away Taehyung who was stunned by the sound. Just as Taehyung was about to reach out to snatch her phone, Chaeyoung had already accepted the video call. The sound of their daughter crying emerged from the phone.
Instantly, Taehyung canceled all his thoughts and rapidly snatched over the phone in Chaeyoung's hand. "Siwoon , why are you not watching your sister properly?"
Chaeyoung was speechless.
'Taehyung are you retarded? What does your precious daughter crying have to do with my son?' Chaeyoung thought to herself.
Little Siwoon was patting his sister on the other end of the phone while giving that old meatball a disdainful look.
"Taehyung, you must be crazy," Chaeyoung said and took over the phone. She then reached for the blanket to cover her slightly tattered and messy appearance.
"What's wrong?"
"Sis had a nightmare, she wants to see Mommy." Siwoon couldn't care less about that crazy old meatball. "Mommy, why are your clothes wet?"
Chaeyoung turned around and gave Taehyung a death glare. Taehyung immediately said, "What are you looking at me for? Don't you know how to console your child?"
'... Good. Taehyung you're good. Sleep by yourself.' Chaeyoung thought to herself and jumped right out of bed with her phone.
"Mommy's here. Don't you have your brother by your side? Nothing to be afraid of."
Taehyung emulated Chaeyoung and got out of bed as well as he watched his poor little puffball crying in the video call.
"Mommy come home," Soyi cried as her tiny hand held the phone.
"It's too late at night already. Driving home right now is dangerous for mommy. Tomorrow morning Mommy will come and accompany you," Wonhae held Soyi single-handedly and gently patted her tiny body. She could tell what had just happened between them, and it looked quite intense.
Taehyung followed Chaeyoung and tiptoed to take over the phone from behind her.
"Sleep first, baby, Daddy and Mommy will be home when you wake up tomorrow."
Soyi was still unsatisfied. Taehyung patiently held the phone to comfort her for quite some time. Chaeyoung, who was standing aside realized that Taehyung had never even spoken to her this patiently!
Not once!
Siwoon was also comforting his sister. He also thought that his old meatball had never spoken so gently to him.
Never!
When his daughter finally fell asleep after being comforted by him, Taehyung said goodnight to his mother. He then narrowed his gaze at his son to hint at him to not stay up late. He was not gentle at all. Siwoon flashed him an arrogant look and burrowed himself into his blanket.
That look said, 'Who do you think you are? Why would I still need you to care about what I do?'
Taehyung watched little Siwoon disappear from the video and his face turned black once more. Why was this punk so different from his little girl?
