Chapter 461: Aren't You As Good as Detective Conan?
Chaeyoung lifted her head and nodded. She really felt that they had missed something important.
"Aren't you as good as Detective Conan, Taehyung?" Chaeyoung put her chin on her hand and pursed her lips.
"But who is my opponent this time? Your father. Who is your father as good as? Sherlock Holmes," said Taehyung while pouring himself a glass of water, "you are comparing a child to an adult."
"How shameless," Chaeyoung took the glass of water and commented.
Taehyung raised his brows. Who knew who would win? Only time would tell.
Chaeyoung finished the glass of water and leaned towards the table. "Let's just forget it. If Mom didn't like the idea so much, let's just forget about the investigation."
"Do you think Jungkook would give up?" Taehyung reached out to stroke his wife's hair, "Jungkook wouldn't give up even if we stop investigating."
Chaeyoung rested her chin on the table while spinning the mug in her hand. "do you think we could solve this faster if we knew who Jungkook's father is?"
"I asked just now. I fled the room before getting slapped for a second time," Taehyung shrugged and said.
Chaeyoung continued to spin her mug. "We know that it can't be your dad. I feel that your dad is totally uninvolved and bothered by nothing. Who else is in the Kim family and Lee Family?" asked Chaeyoung.
Taehyung agreed that it couldn't be Kim Tianmu. First of all, Kim Tianmu had no idea who In-Sung and Park Aera were; second, he didn't even know the truth about his own wife's elopement. He was the only person who was so deeply involved yet so not deeply involved. How amazing.
"I am hoping that it won't be your grandfathers," Chaeyoung looked at Taehyung and said.
Taehyung couldn't promise that it wouldn't be his grandfathers. After all, his grandfathers weren't the nicest people and did have other women out there.
"Jungkook might be your uncle in that case," Chaeyoung put her chin in her hand and joked, only to realize that it was completely inappropriate to joke about.
Taehyung didn't find that joke funny too. He was the last person who wanted Jungkook to be his uncle.
"What do we do now that Mom won't let us go to the States?" Not really willing to give up the investigation, Chaeyoung asked.
"Why do you think that we already have the answer?" asked Taehyung suddenly.
"It's just my instincts. My instinct told me that we forgot an important piece of information," said Chaeyoung naturally.
Not happy with the answer, Taehyung got up from the chair and went to his room to change.
"Where are you going?" Chaeyoung quickly got up from the chair too and asked.
"To trust instinct is as good as trusting that pigs can fly," said Taehyung as he entered his room.
Chaeyoung didn't know what to say. Feeling upset, Chaeyoung decided to ignore Taehyung and look for her kids rather than be near Taehyung.
Chaeyoung went all the way to the Yuan family's house only to find out that Yuan Mo had brought her two kids to the mountain.
"Yuan Mo has been spending time with me since he was little. I am glad that you are here now with your kids so that they can play together," said Grandpa Yuan while sorting out his herbs.
"Where are Yuan Mo's parents?" asked Chaeyoung curiously. She knew that Yuan Mo's mother was still around because she sent most of Soyi's toys.
"They are in the army in B City. They don't come back very often, sometimes not even once a year. Yuan Mo has not seen his parents for more than a year. He can only call them up every time he misses him," said Grandpa Yuan. His tone didn't sound like he blamed his children.
