When Chaeyoung returned from the police station, she found Siwoon flipping through her suitcase.
"What are you looking for?" Chaeyoung whispered as she closed the door quietly behind her. She did not want to wake her sleeping daughter.
Siwoon bit his lips lightly and then showed his small little hands to his mother before giving her a big and wide smile. "Mommy, can we go and visit Grandma tomorrow? It seems like Grandma is not very healthy."
Chaeyoung sat down on the edge of the bed and pulled Siwoon into a hug. She felt that it was a huge blessing that her son was such an obedient little boy.
"Very well, I can bring you and your younger sister to visit Grandma tomorrow. Mommy also has to meet Uncle Park for a while," Chaeyoung said as she kissed Siwoon on his forehead.
Siwoon nodded slightly. If he could not find his mother's, then he would look for the one belonging to the old meatball. It should be fine if he had just one of the copies.
The next day, Chaeyoung did not expect that the one who would come to pick them up would be Taehyung himself.
When Chaeyoung brought the children downstairs, Siwoon was stunned to see the old meatball waiting at the entrance for them. He looked up at his mother to confirm if she was the one who had asked him to come and pick them up.
When he saw the surprised look on his mother's face, he was relieved.
"Handsome elder brother!" Soyi exclaimed as soon as she saw Taehyung. She even chose Taehyung over her mother.
Chaeyoung: "..."
Taehyung carried Soyi in his arms.
"I was around when you called Mom," Taehyung gave Chaeyoung an answer without further explaining himself.
Chaeyoung looked at Taehyung who had opened the car door to let Siwoon into the car. He then carefully put Soyi into the back seat of the car beside her brother.
After putting the children in the back seat, Taehyung returned and took the bag that Chaeyoung was carrying and placed it on the passenger seat. He then turned around and walked towards the driver's seat.
Chaeyoung: "..."
So?
This person was really just here to pick the children up. That was all.
"Goodbye Mommy," Siwoon rolled down the window and waved his small hands at his mother to say goodbye to her.
Soyi also squatted on the back seat and waved her hands as she shouted, "Bye bye mommy!"
"Be good and listen to Grandma. Mommy will pick you up as soon as I am done." Chaeyoung said before adding another sentence, "Look after your younger sister. Don't let her run, and—"
Before Chaeyoung could finish her sentence, Taehyung had already driven the car away.
Chaeyoung: "..."
He was really mentally challenged.
Siwoon: "..."
'Wow, old meatball! You are really amazing at courting your own death.'
Chaeyoung stood at the entrance of the hotel with her hands placed on her waist. Jisoo had just given her a speech last night about how the CEO had a plan for getting his wife back.
So?
What was the plan?
Being smug?
Being extremely overbearing?
