Chapter 261: Miscalculation of One Second
Lisa was stunned.
Jungkook had shut the screaming girl out of the house and finally felt at peace.
Jisoo walked out of the kitchen and looked at Jungkook going into the guest room, then at Lisa who had been locked out of the house.
See, she told her that they would quarrel if not separated.
"What brings you here, Mr. Jeon? Where is Chaeyoung?" Jisoo decided to let Lisa stay outside for a while while she asked Jungkook about the important things.
"Chaeyoung is fine. She is safe now," said Jungkook without telling her any more about it. "Can you give me the compiled data of Kim International's stock market for the past two days?"
Jisoo nodded and asked Jungkook if he needed to dress his wounds.
"Never mind."
Jisoo listened to this boring man and looked in the direction of the woman who hadn't given up knocking the door. Was Lisa blind? What was so good about this man?
Jisoo chuckled to herself and opened the door for Lisa.
Lisa entered the house excitedly the moment the door was opened and the first thing she did was ask Jisoo for Jungkook.
Jisoo slammed the door closed and gestured in the direction of the living room with her chin. "Your Papa Jeon is taking a bath. Go join him."
"How could I?! That would be so shameless," said Lisa while she looked in the direction of the living room.
Not realizing that she actually cares about her image, Jisoo didn't know what to say.
Jisoo didn't want to discuss Jungkook with Lisa anymore and went to the study to prepare the data that Jungkook had asked for.
Lisa continued to look at the living room with a sparkle in her eyes. Her Papa Jeon was so attractive even when he looked sloppy!
"Speaking from experience, Lisa, you shouldn't become too obsessed with a guy or you will be the one getting hurt in the end," Jisoo said and raised her brows, obviously hinting at something.
She used to be this obsessed about Eunwoo, but Eunwoo had had his eyes on Chaeyoung and ended up having a child with a woman that was neither of them.
Lisa paused for a moment to digest what Jisoo had said. She looked at Jisoo who had just entered the study and then in the direction of the living room. Papa Jeon was more of an idol than a husband to her, so it was different from how Jisoo felt towards Eunwoo.
That's right, it was different.
Meanwhile, at the camp, both Taehyung and Chaeyoung were still unconscious.
Wooshik had just gotten back from where the Bai family's fortress used to be and let the army doctor treat his wound while he reported to the old captain.
"What happened to Taehyung? Did he not plan his exit well? Don't tell me that some explosives could injure him so badly," the old captain frowned, obviously having heard about Taehyung's condition.
"Boss has had his right hand injured last time. It was my fault for neglecting that detail. He didn't have enough strength to ignite the explosives and miscalculated one second to leave the place."
That one second had been enough to hold Taehyung back and he had been thrown out of the third floor of the fortress and buried in the ruins.
Wooshik blamed himself for Taehyung's injuries. None of this would have happened if he had insisted on igniting the explosives himself.
