Chapter 311: Could It Be Your Mother?

"Why would your father check on the father of your wife?" Wooshik asked, confused.

Taehyung was wondering the same thing.

Was Kim Tianmu was trying to use In-Sung to separate Chaeyoung and him? That obviously wouldn't work though since the Bai Family had been torn apart.

So what was Kim Tianmu up to?

"Something smells fishy, Boss. We took down the Bai Family but it seems like the affairs of the Kim Family aren't stopping," said Wooshik as he watched Taehyung taking the documents out of the bag. The first thing he held was a photo of In-Sung.

Taehyung looked closely at the man in the photo. He was quite handsome and looked a lot like Chaeyoung.

"I am sure that he was the one I saw. His face might look different but they have the same eyes," said Wooshik, "In-Sung is alive, or at least he was six years ago."

Taehyung squinted at the man in the photo – he had cold eyes filled with ambition and pride.

It was undeniable that In-Sung and his intelligence were one in a million, but his daughter – Chaeyoung was more of a wuss when he first met her.

"Ai Mijia mentioned a name earlier, a name that Kim Tianmu spent billions to buy. Find out who that person is," ordered Taehyung. He skimmed through all the documents in the bag then returned everything to Wooshik.

"You father went after In-Sung after Ai Mijia mentioned the name, anything ringing a bell?" Wooshik scoffed as he took the bag and sealed it, "I can't see the connection between your father and In-Sung though, except for the fact that they are in-laws."

"I wouldn't send you if I knew who it was," Taehyung shot Wooshik a glare and continued, "keep this from Chaeyoung."

Wooshik raised his brows. He had never been the nosey type who interfered with a husband and wife.

"Can I have a pen?" Taehyung asked as he reached out to take a piece of paper, and begin drawing after Wooshik passed him a pen.

Everything was only about In-Sung before Kim Tianmu came into play, and what linked them together was Chaeyoung and him. Then again, In-Sung and Kim Tianmu couldn't be linked just because of Chaeyoung and him. There must be something or someone else. The question is, who or what was it?

Kim Tianmu had been laying low for so long that Taehyung forgot what his father was really like, and it worried Taehyung that Kim Tianmu was looking for In-Sung. His relationship with Chaeyoung was fragile enough to begin with, he can't afford anything else going wrong.

"Could it be your mother?"

"Nonsense," Taehyung rejected the idea immediately, "my mother stays at home all day, how could she be involved?"

Wooshik shrugged. He suggested the idea because it wasn't entirely impossible. From what he saw, Kim Tianmu's emotions could only be shaken by someone he truly cared about. It could only be Wonhae if it wasn't one of his lovers.

It was a reasonable deduction but Taehyung was obviously not seeing it.

"One of your father's lovers?" asked Wooshik again.

"There aren't any," said Taehyung through clenched teeth. He told PA Kim to check that and the truth was unacceptable.

So Wonhae should be the one they were looking for. "I think you should talk to your mother about this. What if she knows something?" Wooshik suggested, tutting at Taehyung's denial.
