Ch. 35

Sana's POV

It's been over a month since Dahyun and I stopped talking. Though, it wasn't really my intention.

Dad threatened me that he'd hurt Dahyun and our child if I didn't follow his orders. How would I suppose to compete with that? Especially knowing the fact that he abuses me as he want. He could definitely do the same to my girlfriend.

I can't believe I even got to celebrate Christmas with them and not my friends nor Dahyun. There was an overwhelmingly amount of guests that visited our mansion that day. Even the Maeda's. I just locked myself up inside my room until it's over.

Now it's December 27, 2 days before my birthday.

My friends planned to have my birthday in Switzerland so that it'll be too far for my dad to reach immediately. Those girls are geniuses.

It's 3am right now. I'm holding onto my suitcase that I would bring to the said country. I'm currently outside the mansion with my parents, waiting for Mina to pick me up.

"Take care and enjoy your day out there, honey." Mom kissed me in the forehead before pulling me into a hug.

"Don't do anything ridiculous. One word and I'll get our private jet to fetch you from Switzerland." I heard my dad said beside me.

My expression quickly went blank and I just nodded without a word.

He seriously couldn't just let me be happy.

After a few minutes of waiting, Mina's black Aston Martin DB11 had arrived and stopped by in front of our mansion.

Mina exited her car, along with Momo, to approach my parents, greeting them with a small smile.

My dad looked at Mina with a smile, "Nice to see you, Mina."

I could tell Mina's face wasn't really interested into holding up a conversation between me and my father. Nonetheless, she gave him a fake smile and politely responded.

"It's... nice to see you as well, Mr. Minatozaki." My dad wasn't able to tell that behind Mina's polite tone was annoyance.

"Please take care of my daughter, Mina-chan, Momo-chan." My mom stated, looking back and forth at my friends.

"We will, Ms. Minatozaki. We'll be going now." Mina and Momo both bowed in front of my parents while my mom waver goodbye.

My father? He's crossing his arms and standing still like a goddamn statue.

The three of us went inside Mina's car after I loaded my suitcase on her car's trunk. Momo and I sat on the backseat while Mina was on the driver's seat.

I took a deep breath and placed a hand on my chest. God, I was nearly close to holding my breath the entire time of my friends and parents' conversation.

Momo saw my expression and decided to hold my hand to calm me down, "Don't worry, Sana. We'll be here for you."

"It's good that we already got your dad's trust. We won't let him do more cruel things to you, Sattang." Mina stated, her eyes still focused on the road.

Momo and Mina's words made me smile. I'm so glad they're my best friends.

But... one person popped up in my mind that turned my mood upside down.

"What about-" Before I could even finish my words, Momo responded to me.

"I know who it is. Dahyun's also invited, don't you worry."

I sighed in relief. I'd finally be able to hold her again.
