Ch. 33

Sana's POV

Cold sweat started emitting from my skin as my dad's words, before he ended the call, repeated in my mind.

I quickly put bandage on my cheek and stood up in panic, grabbing Dahyun's arm, much to her shock.

"Dahyun, let's get out of here."

"W-wait, what about your-"

Before I even got Dahyun to stood up, I heard the door creaked open, making my breaths unstable and shaky.

"Were you just about to leave, young lady?"

My dad's cold and stern tone made me gulp out of nervousness. I slowly let go of my grasp on Dahyun's arm as I turned around to look at my father, who's expression I cannot even read right now.

"D-dad, I-" I didn't even get to finish my words when he decided to walk closer to our direction and looked at both Dahyun and I, back and forth.

"Didn't I already told you to stop hanging out with this girl? Now I even received an anonymous text saying that you've impregnated her. What would others think of our family now?" Dad crossed his arms, not taking away his glare from me.

I just looked down, not being able to think of anything to say about him.

The fact that he wasn't even scolding me just makes me fear for what he might do to Dahyun.

"You're coming with me. Let's go." Before my dad could take a hold of my arm, I stopped him, which made him raise his brow at me.

"A-at least, let me... talk to Dahyun for a moment..."

I could honestly talk back to my father if I would want to. But Dahyun's right here with us. I don't want my Dad to drag her down into our argument if ever.

"Like I would agree for you to still be able to connect with this gold digger slut." Dad's response made me grit my teeth in annoyance. How dare he call Dahyun those words?!

But he didn't try to stop me. He already knew he had won me over Dahyun.

I hold Dahyun's hand and kissed it to assure her.

"Don't listen to my dad. I'll be okay, Dahyunie. Don't worry." I tried my best to suppress a smile despite the pain I'm feeling right now; physically and emotionally.

"Please take care, Sana." I could see Dahyun's eyes in brink of tears before she hugged me.

I tried my hardest not to give in to her arms. My dad is here. I'm afraid of what else he could say to my girlfriend.

Hesitantly, I pulled away and let myself get dragged by my dad. I still couldn't help but felt guilty seeing the pain in her facial expression as I left her inside the clinic.

Once we got outside the university's building, Dad motioned for me to get inside his car. After I did, he went to the driver's seat and drove away.

"I've already dispatched a tow truck to transport your vehicle back to our mansion's garage. You are no longer permitted to drive yourself to campus. That is why we have a number of personal drivers available for you. We even chose one who is the sister of one of your best friends, and you're still not satisfied?"

Dad conversed with me, his focus still on the road as he drives back to our mansion.

"I just want to be able to drive to our university on my own. I don't need personal drivers to do that for me. You don't have to treat me like I'm some kind of royalty, Dad." Now that it's just the two of us, I could easily talk back to my father like how he speaks to me; expressionless.
