Ateez x Stray Kids

Seongwha had been insistent that this was all on him. He did not want his team to get in trouble, considering the younger six had no idea where the oldest two had gone and Hongjoong didn't exactly have much say in the whole matter. But still, all eight of them along with the eight members of Stray Kids, were standing in front of the staff that had caught Seongwha and Hongjoong as well as male staff members from both groups.

"Does anyone want to explain?" Ateez's staff asked, waiting. Seongwha went to step forward but Hongjoong held him back and shook his head.

"Eight makes one team" He whispered softly. Chan, who was standing on the other side of Seongwha, put a hand on the younger idol's shoulder.

"Sixteen makes one team" He added. Seongwha appreciated that and stepped back in line. He could tell both older men already knew he was at fault but was unwilling to admit it.

"Well then perhaps we should show you what happens when you break the rules. Who's first? Or should we go in age order?" Stray kids' staff suggested. Seongwha paled, age order meant that him and Chan would get punished together. That also meant that three of the most dramatic members of Ateez (Yeosang, San and Wooyoung) would be paired with three of the most dramatic members of Stray Kids (Hyunjin, Jisung and Seungmin).

"Splendid idea. Shall we begin?" Ateez's staff clearly approved of the idea. Seongwha walked over to him.

"Please, hyung. Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho didn't know. They didn't do anything and Hyunjin,Felix,I.N. and Jisung were all asleep. Don't punish them, they had no idea" Seongwha pleaded.

"Seongwha, it's okay. We're a team and we're friends, we face this together" Chan assured him. Seongwha still didn't like it but he nodded, glancing over his shoulder to see the rest of his group and the other group all kneeling and facing the wall with their hands behind their head.

This was one time Seongwha really did not like their staff member.

"You two aren't first. We're going in backwards age order. Jeongin, Jongho, come up here. You two, take their place" Ateez's staff decided. Seongwha paused.

He hated their staff member now and if he could do so without getting into more trouble, he would file a complaint because there was no way this was fair at all!

I.N. and Jongho stood up, keeping their heads down. Chan whispered something to his maknae, warning him to not fight. Seongwha knew he didn't have to tell Jongho, who was always good. Seongwha actually worried less for the maknae than he did for some of the others.

"What do either of you have to say for yourselves?" The Ateez staff asked, positioning Jongho in the proper direction.

"We're sorry" I.N. and Jongho found themselves subconsciously reaching for the other's hand, seeking comfort. Seongwha put his head against the wall, feeling guilty for causing this when he heard the unmistakable sound of a belt being undone.

"Hyungs, no! Please, they didn't do anything" Seongwha got up as quickly as he could.

"Turn back around now!" One of the men snapped, Seongwha guessed it was Stray Kids' staff. Feeling sorry for his dongsaengs, and a little sorry for himself too, Seongwha knelt back down in between Hongjoong and Chan.

Jongho's light screams filled the silence. He had always been the worst with pain, especially when it came to getting the belt. Seongwha closed his eyes tightly, hoping to shut out the next part. He did not want to listen to any of his dongsaengs getting their asses blistered. 

WHAP WHAP WHAP

"Hey! Put your hand back and do not move it again! Brat" The staff for the other group muttered to himself, scolding I.N. 

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, please hyung no more" I.N. really did not know how much more he could take. He had only gotten the belt once and that was only a couple of licks. 

"You will stay in position and not try to prolong this in any way. Is that clear?" Was the only response given.

"Yes hyung" I.N. sobbed, preparing himself for the last bit.

WHAP WHAP WHAP WHAP WHAP

"Oww! Hyung!" I.N. dropped to the floor, acting like he had been burnt. The staff just rolled his eyes and pulled the maknae back up. Seungmin and Wooyoung began to get nervous, aware that they were next. Seongwha looked at Chan, who had tears in his eyes. They weren't that different and Seongwha knew that the leader must be feeling the same way he did; guilty and sad at hearing their dongsaengs get punished. Also maybe a little nervous because their turn would be approaching before they knew it. 

Wooyoung cried before he even approached the staff members, as did Seungmin. Felix tried to be strong, not just for his group but for Ateez as well and to give strength to Mingi but it only took a few swats for him to begin crying. 

Seongwha knew that it had been a bad idea to put two pranksters together and two drama queens together but he didn't feel the least bit sorry for the two staff members as they tried to wrangle San and Jisung, and Yeosang and Hyunjin. It had been the staff's idea to go in age order so now they could suffer the repercussions of it. Changbin and Yunho showed no emotion and didn't shed any tears, resulting in the staff becoming even more annoyed with them. 

Hongjoong was much the same and Minho never cried at anything, unless it involved Chan, again adding to the staff members' bad moods. Finally, it was the oldests' turns.

"I really am sorry, hyung. I should have never gotten you involved" Seongwha turned to Chan as their staff were finishing with Hongjoong and Minho. 

"I have just as much a part in this as you do. I could have easily said no, this is on me too" Chan pointed out. He had a point but it did nothing to make Seongwha feel better. They took each others' hands as they got up, determined to get through this without giving their staff the satisfaction of seeing them cry.

They succeeded and the three staff left quickly. Seongwha stood up to his full height, turning to his group and gathering them quickly into a group hug. No one argued when Stray Kids joined the hug. 

"I am so sorry to all of you! I should have never gotten any of you involved" Seongwha faced the other fifteen idols with guilt.

"Hey, we chose to do this. Eight makes one team, right? Times two, you know" Hongjoong added the last part, glancing at the other group. 

"Yeah, we wouldn't have done this if we didn't want to. Not that we wanted to but we're here for you" Minho nodded, smiling despite the pain he felt. 

"Now no more apologies or I will pull the hyung card on you" Chan threatened jokingly, making Seongwha laugh and nod, if Chan was pulling the hyung card, then Seongwha knew he was serious.

"Yes hyung" He agreed, taking comfort in the feel of his brothers and friends' arms around him. Part of him still was mad at the staff members for their treatment of the idols but that would be dealt with. 

And it was. Ateez had not seen their male staff member in a week and the one who told on them was revealed to be suspended momentarily. Chan contacted Seongwha saying that he had overheard their manager yelling at the Stray Kids' staff behind closed doors. They never saw any of those two again, which was good. Even if it did mean that the whole company found out and Ateez and Stray kids suffered a lecture from their managers, it was over.
