Ateez was not terribly close to 3rd gen groups, there were a few and they were respectful to older idols but none of them would say that they were close to the older groups.
BTS adored their juniors, even their juniors from other companies and they thought that they were on good terms with Ateez. Now that they were actually meeting with the group after a long time of not seeing the younger group, the seven guys were not so sure.
"What is their problem?" Jungkook looked at Ateez, a little concerned and disgusted by their junior's actions.
"Leave them alone, their probably just tired" Jimin responded, though he was also worried. Jungkook knew that they were probably tired, so was everyone else.
"So are we" Jungkook responded shortly. RM heard him.
"Jungkook, leave it. They're not giving us any trouble" RM pointed out so Jungkook decided to try and ignore his juniors and have a good time. He wasn't able to ignore the younger group for long. He had turned his back for a moment and took a step back, bumping into someone and causing them to spill their drink.
"Yah! Watch it" Jungkook was surprised when he saw who it was and he stood there, waiting for an apology or an 'oh it didn't realize it was you' from the younger man. Seongwha just huffed and picked up some wipes, trying to get the stain out of his shirt.
"Come on, let's get that fixed" Jungkook wrapped a hand around the younger's arm, leading him away from the crowd. He could see his members following out of the corner of his eye and Ateez was headed for them as well. Just perfect.
"Hyung, let go!" Seongwha realized that he was probably in trouble and he started struggling. Jungkook never once let go or even loosened his hold.
"What's going on?" Hongjoong was surprised to find the oldest member being dragged around like a kid by their sunbaenims.
"That's what I'd like to know. Jungkook, care to explain?" RM waited, giving the maknae a stern look.
"He spilled his drink on me and then started dragging me away!" Seongwha lied. Jungkook was more surprised now.
"You little-" Jungkook wasn't sure what he was going to do but he had his hand raised and someone stopped him.
"Why don't we talk about this in private?" Jin suggested. Hongjoong took his older member from Jungkook, not surprised when Seongwha hid behind him, and agreed. He followed the older idols into a private area where they could talk without being overheard.
"Jungkook, from your point of view, what happened?" RM looked to Hongjoong to make sure this was okay with the other leader. Hongjoong nodded, ignoring the glare from Seongwha. He would have his chance to explain.
"Okay. I had my back turned to Seongwha-ah. I didn't even know he was there but we bumped into each other and I guess he spilled his drink a little on himself. He snapped and I expected him to apologize when he saw who he was talking to but he didn't. I offered to help get his shirt cleaned up and we started to leave. That's when you guys showed up. And then the little brat decided to lie about it" Jungkook gave Seongwha a hard glare, causing the younger to look away.
"Seongwha, is that true?" Hongjoong turned to his friend.
"Of course not! I did get upset but I apologized when I saw who it was and he didn't even ask if I needed help! He just started dragging me out" Seongwha shook his head. Jungkook's eyes flashed with anger and Jimin put a hand on his arm, stopping the youngest from doing anything he would regret later.
"I've heard enough. Sunbaenim, you had no right to do that even if Seongwha-hyung did get upset, he apologized!" Wooyoung interrupted. Hongjoong sent him a look to silence him.
"He didn't! Hyung, I promise he didn't. I'm not lying" Jungkook turned to RM. The leader didn't want to contradict his juniors but he knew that Jungkook wasn't lying.
"I'm sure this is just a misunderstanding. I'm sorry about your shirt, Seongwha-ah" RM tried to keep tensions from rising but it was no use. Hearing that RM was just brushing this aside as a misunderstanding did not sit right with Seongwha and, completely out of character even for him, he started to make a scene. He didn't know why but he was agitated and tired and he just needed to let off some steam. Yelling and causing problems was the best way he could think of to do that. Soon, he had his members convinced and they started to berate their seniors for not being proper hyungs and letting Jungkook get away with causing problems.
Yoongi was the first one to have enough and he grabbed the closest person to him, tugging them over his knee.
SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK
The whole area went into a tense silence, all of them watching the scene in front of them.
"Now, are you all done yelling?!" Yoongi rarely raised his voice so it was really scary when he did. Yunho wriggled around, trying to get off the older's lap and back over to his members.
"Yes hyung" The younger eight members hung their heads.
"Seongwha, tell the truth this time. Were you lying?" Yoongi crossed his arms, taking charge. Seeing as how his members were still frozen in shock, he kind of had to.
"Yes" Seongwha sighed, knowing there was no point in keeping up the lie. Hongjoong closed his eyes, taking a shuddering breath. He had defended Seongwha even though he had known deep down that Jungkook was not lying and Seongwha was.
"Seongwha-ah, go with Jungkook" Yoongi decided. The younger's eyes widened when Jungkook walked over to him, taking a seat and not hesitating to start spanking immediately. Seongwha's cries soon filled the silence and the younger guys all looked away.
"I already did my part so I'll let you split roles of who gets who" Yoongi sat back, pulling Yunho down next to him and cuddling the younger. In the end, Jin took San to one side, Taehyung decided that Yeosang would be the easiest to deal with (he was wrong), RM pulled Hongjoong over to him, taking responsibility as the leader to punish the younger leader. Hobi figured out that Wooyoung would cause the most trouble and did not want to leave that for his dongsaeng and Jimin decided to challenge himself with someone much taller than him so he took Mingi to the side. That left Jongho for Yoongi.
The sounds of crying, lecturing and the constant slap of skin on skin or thin material filled the little area for a long time and then it stopped. Yoongi pulled Jongho up, the maknae curling into his side opposite Yunho. San cried into Jin's shirt, not caring that he was getting it wet and Seongwha started sobbing out apologies to Jungkook. Taehyung whispered assurances to Yeosang, now knowing that he got the most stubborn, sensitive member of the younger team. RM continued to scold Hongjoong about his responsibilities as a leader but he stopped after a while when the younger kept crying without stop. Hobi rocked Wooyoung back and forth and Jimin practically had Mingi laying on top of him as the older team comforted the younger.
