Ever since Hongjoong and Seongwha faced one of their only hyungs and friends, Stray Kids Chan, the captain had made a special effort to come home early every single night. He didn't want to risk getting in trouble again and it was always worth not getting some work done just to see the relief and excitement on his members' faces every time he walked through the door before two in the morning.

Of course, old habits die hard and Hongjoong found himself working more and more and longer hours as the weeks passed. He would forget about the promises he had made and tell himself that he was always almost done, he just needed a few minutes more. And those minutes turned into hours.

Seongwha had actually considered calling their friend again but he didn't. He was older than Hongjoong and he could very much take care of his own brothers. So he warned the others not to bother their friends and he went to the company.

"Hongjoong! It's too late for you to be out. You need to come home" Seongwha knocked on the studio door but received no response.

"Hongjoong?" Seongwha walked in. The leader was awake, his eyes glued to the screen.

"Hey! Don't ignore me" Seongwha pulled the headphones off his friend, finally getting Hongjoong's attention.

"What?!" Hongjoong spun around, obviously not expecting anyone else to be there that late, or well early since it was almost morning. Seongwha was not impressed at all with the attitude being shown and made that known, lightly smacking Hongjoong's thigh.

"Watch yourself, Kim Hongjoong" Seongwha warned. Hongjoong wanted to argue, only barely stopping himself. He wasn't dumb, he knew that Seongwha only ever used their full names when he was really pissed off.

"What do you need?" Hongjoong said in a much calmer tone.

"What time is it right now?" Seongwha crossed his arms, waiting for the captain to respond. Hongjoong looked at the clock.

"It's four. Why are you here?" Hongjoong turned back to his work. Seongwha spun his chair around so the younger was facing him.

"Right. And what time are you supposed to be back at the dorms?" Seongwha questioned.

"I don't know" Hongjoong was getting more annoyed. He needed to be working; why couldn't Seongwha understand that? They had too much to do to prepare for their next album and he was getting behind schedule.

"You do know. You promised me and Chan-hyung. What time are you supposed to be back at the dorms?" Seongwha repeated.

"Eleven" Hongjoong finally gave in. He had known exactly why Seongwha was there the moment the older walked in but he didn't want to admit it. He just wanted to be left alone to work.

"Good. Now, get your stuff. As soon as we're done here, we're leaving" Seongwha sat down on the couch to wait. When he first saw Hongjoong's studio, he hadn't been sure why there was a couch in there but Hongjoong admitted that it was because sometimes he had trainees or rookies, or even his own members, that had a bad night or couldn't sleep or were staying late practicing and they would come to his studio and sometimes fall asleep on the floor. He had a couch put in so they at least had somewhere comfortable to sleep.

"Can't we just not?" Hongjoong knew what Seongwha was thinking.

"Really? Are you really asking me that?" Seongwha couldn't believe what he was hearing. Hongjoong knew the rules just like the others. If this were any of the kids, Hongjoong would've put them over his knee the second he walked in without even talking.

"That's not fair" Hongjoong argued. It was completely fair though he wanted to deny it.

"Would you rather me call our manager-hyung? Or Channie-hyung?" Seongwha questioned, well aware that was the last thing Hongjoong would want.
