Ateez ft. BTS

Ateez had only debuted for less than a few months and were still fairly new when they met up with one of the most popular, big-time groups in the entire industry: BTS. Hongjoong had always lectured on the importance of showing respect to their seniors and yet, he was the one that started the whole thing. 

BTS was quite intimidating, when Hongjoong really thought about it. Trying to fill the large shoes set up by this famous group was no easy task and Hongjoong felt some sympathy for all those that would be under BigHit and have to be in the shadows of their seniors. But, BTS with their energy and their loud greetings and their overwhelming pride for those younger than them. It was all just too much for Hongjoong and he snapped. 

Ateez actually wasn't even supposed to be meeting with the older group. This was entirely coincidence that they ended up in the same hotel. Once Jimin found out that his lovely juniors were in the same hotel, he begged RM to invite the juniors for a drink or something. Maybe just a nice dinner since some of them were underaged. 

Hongjoong stressed the importance of being polite, watching what was said and how the group acted. They needed to make a good impression on their seniors. He completely mistook this dinner invitation as a formal event when really, the older idols just wanted to relax and get to know their fellow idols.

"Hello sunbaenims!" The eight members of Ateez greeted their seven hyungs politely.

"Please, none of that. Here we are just friends. Hyung is fine" Hobi told them. Hongjoong and Seongwha nodded but they didn't look convinced. They talked for a while about producing, their schedules, comebacks and songs until the conversation veered towards more unprofessional topics. 

"None of you aren't drinking. Is there a reason why?" Jungkook was very curious. Hongjoong and Seongwha, as well as all the other members besides Wooyoung and Jongho, had been served glasses of wine but the six cups remained untouched. 

"Oh, Wooyoung and Jongho are still eighteen and our company doesn't like us drinking in public until we're twenty one" Hongjoong explained. Jungkook frowned a little but decided not to argue. He admired the younger members' determination. He didn't think he would be able to resist drinking if it was right in front of him, company rules or not. The only reason he might not was because his hyungs were watching. Then it dawned on him. These younger guys might not care about drinking in public but because their seniors were present, they were being more cautious. 

"If you think we'll tell on you for drinking, we won't. Your here to enjoy yourselves, pretend we're not even idols and we're just friends out for a drink. These two, I understand because it's government law but the rest of you, drink away" Taehyung cut in. Jin leaned over to him and scolded the second maknae for encouraging his juniors to break company rules. 

"I think we should be going. It's getting late and...well, um, I don't mean to be rude but this isn't fun" Hongjoong got Wooyoung and Jongho up, ushering them out. His bluntness surprised even Seongwha. 

"I think what he means is that we're all just a little stressed out. We just debuted and you know, you guys are kind of intimidating. I'm really sorry but I think we should just go back to our room. I apologize for him. I'm sure you can understand being a new leader after debut" Seongwha motioned for the rest of his members to get up. RM did understand but he was not at all impressed with his junior's behavior. Still, he let it go and watched them leave. 

Despite what they said, Hongjoong and Seongwha did not make their members go to bed. Instead, they did the worst thing they ever could have done. Luckily for them, BTS was keeping an eye on them. 

"They did what?!" Taehyung was the one who picked up the phone and then ran down to the hotel security where the eight members of Ateez were, looking very drunk and ashamed. 

"I am very sorry for these guys. We'll deal with it, please do not press charges. I'll pay a fine or anything that you want" Taehyung talked to the security officer, who agreed to not press charges and let the eight new idols go to Taehyung. As soon as they were out of hearing and seeing range of other people, Taehyung stopped all of them.

"Thank you hyung" Seongwha bowed his head, feeling very appreciative. Taehyung felt bad that he was about to ruin that.

SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK

"Eeh! Hyung-nim!" Seongwha squealed, moving away from Taehyung.

"I don't even know whats worse, that you broke hotel and company rules or that you lied to us about being tired!" Taehyung scolded, looking at each of his eight dongsaengs with disappointment.

"I want you all to go back to your room. I'll be there in a minute" Taehyung decided already, before he had even gone to get the eight hours, what he was going to do and he was not backing down on it.

Later, Ateez met back up with BTS and this time, after delivering their sincerest apologies, the two groups could enjoy a night together before going back to their separate lives.
