"Amber Amber Amber, guess what."Tara says excitedly into the phone
"What baby?"Amber asks, smiling
"Sam came back, and her and I are going to take a trip to Yellow Stone."Tara says
"That's amazing, baby."Amber says
"Right. It's been five years since I've seen her."Tara says excitedly
"I'm surprised you forgave her so fast. I remember you told me that it would take Sam a long time to get you to forgive her."Amber says drawing on a piece of paper
"Yeah, I'm surprised to, but she said she would take me to Yellowstone National Park, and she would pay for everything, and you know I've always wanted to go there."Tara says
"Yeah, I know, baby."Amber says, smiling
"When are are we leaving?"Amber asks
"You can't come."Tara says
"What?"Amber asks, putting the pencil down
"Sam said it's only going to be me and her going."Tara says
"Oh, ok."Amber says
"Amber dinner is done."Amber's mom screams from downstairs
"Alright, I'm coming."Amber says
"I gotta go, but I'll talk to you later."Amber says, then hangs up
"Hey honey, what's wrong?"Amber's mom asks when Amber sits down
"It's just Sam came back into town, and she's taking Tara to Yellowstone, and I was hoping I could go with them, but Sam told Tara it was only a sistsrs trip."Amber says
"Well honey, you can't be mad about that."Her mom says
"I'm not mad, just upset. For these last five years, I've been the one to take Tara everywhere she's ever wanted to go. I've been the one to hold Tara when she's sad, but all of sudden, after five whole years, Sam wants to come back and do that for Tara."Amber says
"I get where you're coming from, but you remember how broken Tara was and how much she begged for Sam to come back home. And now Sam is back home, and Tara wants to spend time with her."Amber's mom says
"Yeah, I guess. I'm not really hungry. I'll be in my room."Amber says and walks up to her room
Twenty minutes later, while Amber's mom is washing dishes, the doorbell goes off, and she walks over to the door.
"Hey, Mrs. Freeman is Amber home?"Tara asks
"Yeah, she's in her room."Amber's mom says and lets Tara in
When Tara walks up to Amber's room, she walks in and sees Amber sitting on her bed, drawing
"What are you doing here at eleven at night?"Amber asks
"I couldn't stand the thought of you mad at me."Tara says, tearing up
"I'm not mad at you."Amber says, standing up and pulling Tara into a hug
"Well, you hung up so fast, and you didn't even say I love you."Tara says, looking up at Amber
"I'm sorry, baby. I didn't realize."Amber says
"I'm sorry."Tara says
"You don't have to be sorry. I'm the one who should be sorry."Amber says, and Tara leans in and kisses Amber
"I know how much you've missed Sam, and I was just jealous how she was going to spend time with you for a whole three weeks without me."Amber says
"I know you didn't want me to forgive her so easily, but I missed her."Tara says
"I know."Amber says, sighing
"She's at my house if you want to come see her."Tara says
"Maybe tomorrow."Amber says and kisses Tara
Two weeks later, it's time for Tara and Sam to leave.
"I'm so excited."Tara says excitedly, and Amber smiles at her
"I know you are baby, and you better not let any guys or girls flirt with you."Amber says
"I won't. I'll tell them I'm in a happy relationship with Amber Freeman."Tara says
"That's my girl."Amber says and kisses Tara
"Hey Tara, something came up, so we're gonna have to put our trip on hold."Sam says, walking in, and Tara pulls away from Amber and looks at Sam and Amber glares at Sam
"Oh no, it's cool."Tara says
"Just for a couple of weeks."Sam says
"I understand."Tara says
"Maybe even a little longer."Sam says
"Yeah, whatever."Tara says
"Look, I'll call you next week and tell you what's going on and when we can plan the trip."Sam says
"Yeah."Tara says
"It's great seeing you, sis."Sam says
"You too, Samantha."Tara says, and Sam sighs and leaves
"I'm sorry."Amber says from behind Tara, and Tara turns around
"You know this works out for me next term she comes over, and I won't be so fast to forgive her."Tara says, picking up some of her bags
"Baby, it's alright to be angry."Amber says, and Tara puts down the bags
"Why should I be mad? At least she said goodbye this time."Tara says
"Baby."Amber says
"No, stop, at least this time. I won't stay up every night trying to figure out what I did wrong for her to leave. I won't stay up tonight crying, thinking I was the reason she doesn't like to be here in this stupid town. I didn't need it then and I don't need her now!"Tara yells
"Baby, calm down."Amber says, putting her hands on Tara's shoulders
"Why doesn't she want me, Amber?"Tara says, crying
"I don't know baby she's just a bitch."Amber says kissing Tara's head
"Everyone gets their sister but me how is that fair."Tara says
"It's not baby but the world isn't fair. Plus you still have me fuck Sam."Amber says and Tara smiles
"I love you."Amber says
"I love you too."Tara says sniffling
"Plus I have a present for you and I was going to give it you when you left but since you're not I'll probably just keep it."Amber says smirking
"What no give it to me."Tara says
"Okay okay calm down."Amber says and walks over to her bag and pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to Tara
"Is this me?"Tara asks surprised
"Yeah."Amber says smiling
"Thank you."Tara says and Amber smiles and kisses her
"You're welcome baby."Amber says
