Apocalypse

Hey! Future author here! Ok so this book is a work in progress, so I'd suggest my most recent chapters first as they are better. If you want to. I don't rly mind- anyway ty for reading and I hope you enjoy!!

Dteam in a zombie apocalypse

Gonna start with George's POV

"Did you find anything?"

"Yeah. Food- not a lot but it'll last us for enough time."

I looked up at the pile of food SapNap had brought back. There was a repeat of lots of different foods but I wasn't complaining, just as long as it lasts us until our next stop I don't really care.
We'd been nonstop travelling to North Carolina, where Karl (SapNap's boyfriend) lives. Yeah, we had a car but it had gotten destroyed a couple days back. SapNap thought he hid it well enough but we came back to it being destroyed by Zombies.

Then literally just now, we got attacked by 10 zombies. Sure, they were easy to fight but Dream got injured. No clue how that happened but whatever. It's like some scratch or something? I don't know.

I cleared my head of my thoughts and carried on patching up the wound on my best friend Dreams' arm. We both like each other, it's very obvious. But neither of us want to make the first move, me because I can't verbally express my feelings and Dream because of some reason I don't know. Or maybe I've got the wrong idea.. I'm not sure, it's fine though because whatever happens we'll figure out together.

"Damn Dream, that looks pretty bad. You sure it won't like- turn you or nothing?"

"Sapnap! Leave him alone. It's fine see?"

SapNap scoffed and started looking through the pile of food, looking for something to satisfy his hunger.
Dream glanced at me, showing the same smile as always.

"Thanks George.. it's not serious is it?"

"Nah, should be fine! Just be careful with it yeah? Your not carrying anything massively heavy just in case."

SapNap looked up in shock and made a 'aw' sound making both me and Dream look over quickly.

"Oh hell no. Dreams carrying stuff, he's the strongest one here! I get your BoYfRiEnD or your best friend- or whatever you are? I don't know anymore - is hurt but he's fine! He's had worse."

I scoffed and glared at SapNap for a moment, thinking of what to say next.

"Well you'd be complaining if you were injured and had to carry stuff! So shut up du-"

"It's fine, I'll carry stuff. Just cause I'm injured doesn't mean I can't help. And we're a team aren't we? George- don't! I'll be careful I promise, you just have to let me help!"

"Yeah George let him help! He wants to."

I sided eyed SapNap before turning my attention back to Dream. I thought carefully about what I would say next, and finally decided on something.

"Well as long as your careful! I don't want anything to hurt you again."

"Thanks George, I promise I'll be careful."

He put his left hand in mine and smiled his beautiful smile at me. I huffed and smiled back. I don't know what I'd do if he got hurt.

"Oh my god! We got a butt load zombies dead ahead!"

I heard SapNap angrily mumble as
Dream held his arms out to block us from running.

"Wait! We'll work our way around just to be safe. Now be quiet!"

We both nodded and followed Dream to a different route. He then suddenly turned to look at us and smiled sorrowfully.

"There's no way we can get past those without one of us getting caught."

"Ok- I'll go! You guys go to Kar-"

Dream grabbed my shoulders and shook his head.

"No George. I'll go."

We both turned to SapNap and glared at him. We both knew that if he'd go distract the zombies, he wouldn't be able to see Karl.. and we'd have to tell him what happened.

"No! You have to be joking! The whole reason we're here is so you can see Karl! Karl would be heartbroken if he realised that he was never going to see you again!"

"Nick."

Sapnap looked from me to Dream, with shock and concern on his face. I was confused. Dream never used Sapnaps real name, as far as I'm aware.

"What- Dream?"

"I'm going. You can't talk me out of it. I'm going. I'm injured anyway, I'll just slow you down."

"What?! Dream no! I'm not leaving you dude! Your my best friend! I refuse! I'll go-"

"Nick. My minds made up. Go to Karl. You deserve to be with him."

Sapnap looked down sorrowfully, refusing to look back up as Dream turned to me. I tried to swallow but there was a lump in my throat. I had already guessed what was going to happen, but I waited for him to say something.

"George.. look at me please."

I looked at him, taking in his features for probably the last time.

"I know you don't agree with this, but you have to go. You deserve to live and be happy. I just hope you can forget about me and move on, not just as a friend but, as a lover.. I'm sorry it took me so long to say this in it's true context but...-

I love you so much George..

-and I know you love me.. Just move on ok? You'll find someone who loves you just as much as I do, or even more."

He cupped my cheek and wiped a stray tear off my face, smiling at me.
I shook my head, not wanting him to leave me.

"I love you too Dream.. I love you so much.. I- I'm sorry I never said it! I wanted to, I promise I did!"

He hugged me and sighed gently, also wiping tears from his face.

"It'll be ok George, now go. I'll buy you some time."

He let go and nodded to sapnap, probably to make sure he would get me out. We all stood up and went our different ways, i didn't look back at Dream, only because I knew that If I did, I wouldn't be able to leave..

The last thing I could hear after leaving, was a scream.

A loud, pain filled scream from a voice that I could recognise from anywhere..

Dream was gone...
