Part 2 of 'Flower Crowns'

I was running around the backyard with Dreams younger family members eg; his cousins, niece and nephew. See we were invited to a dinner party barbecue thing and we had been here for the past couple of hours.

Dream was currently talking to Karl and Sapnap (who had been invited since Sapnap was extremely close with Dream and his family.)

I was planning on proposing at this dinner party/ barbecue. No one really knew we were together apart from both of our parents. Not even sapnap and Karl.
I ran over to Dream, dragging him into the empty kitchen.

"George..? What's wrong."

"Just wanted to have a break from your younger cousins and stuff."

"Yeah, I'm sorry George. I know that they can be a handful."

I hugged Dream loosely, kissing his cheek.

I swallowed thickly, my hands becoming clammy. Which then caused my Jeans to become clammy as well as I wiped my hands on them.
I was definitely able to propose to Dream, I knew he'd definitely say yes. It was just that Dreams family was there and I was getting nervous.

Everyone was separated, eating in different tables or in different areas of the backyard.
I felt around In my pocket for the ring box, praying that I had actually brought it.

I found it, pulling the box out and gently tapping Dreams shoulder. He turned to look at me, tilting his head in anticipation. I inhaled and exhaled slowly, opening the box slightly.

"Dream. Clay. I love you so so much. I couldn't ask for any better boyfriend than you. For the past seven years of our friendship and the last year and a while of our relationship, you've treated me amazing. But for a while now I've been thinking about it and I really do want to spend the rest of my life with you."

The rest of the backyard were silent. Everyone was watching in shock except from Dreams parents; who looked incredibly happy and proud.
I continued speaking, looking at Dreams face.

"So- Clay Mason Hirst, will you make me the happiest and luckiest man alive and marry me..?"

I opened the box fully, revealing a ring with bright green gem on it. I could see Dream nod repeatedly slowly.

"Yes.. Yes! YES OF COURSE!"

I smiled brightly, pulling Dream in a hug; squeezing him tightly. I let go off the hug and pulled the ring out of the box, placing it slowly on his ring finger.

Everyone in the backyard yelled out in applause, until Sapnap yelled:

"WHAT THE HELL! SINCE WHEN WE'RE YOU DATING?!"

Everyone started laughing, ignoring the question and focusing on the wholesomeness of the moment.

Now I'm engaged to the absolute love of my life, the person I would die for. And to be honest, neither of us couldn't be any more happier.
