Everyone is 14-15 (am too lazy to come up with actual ages so)

"Hi Clay!"

George yelled and waved to his boyfriend, who was making his way through the crowded corridors of their high school. When Clay reached George he smiled.

"Hi George.. sorry I'm so late."

"It's fine. Cmon the others are waiting for us."

By 'the others' George meant Nick and Karl, who desperately needed to get together. Like more than Clay and George had.

George and Nick had met each other first, and it was the same with Karl and Clay. Then they all met and all of the crushes started flying around and here they all are.

George was semi-popular, definitely the most popular in the group but not in the school. George's mum and dad had divorced when he was about 8 years old, but the relationship he had with his parents were still healthy and supportive. George's mum and dad knew about his relationship with Clay and were extremely supportive.

Nick was also semi-popular, right behind George in popularity in the group and school. Nicks parents were also divorced (when he was 5) and his dad had remarried. He mainly lived with his mum, and saw his dad and step-mum frequently over time. Nicks mum was completely supportive and commonly tried to convinced him to ask out Karl.

Nick and George had met when they were 6, and had been best friends ever since.

Karl wasn't popular, he and Clay being at the bottom of the group and maybe even their year in school. His parents were together, and could sometimes be extremely harsh but on the most part decent people. They did not know about Karl's ever growing crush on Nick, but he would tell them eventually.

Clay. Well.. Clay (like Karl) was the least popular of the group, and maybe even the school year. His parents were together, but he'd rather them not be. Yes- that sounds rude or disrespectful, but it's true. His mum; doesn't pay attention to him or his dad, is always drinking and smoking, doesn't work, and is always bringing guys back to the house when Clays dad isn't home.
His dad; always drinks, hits him and his siblings (a younger brother and younger sister), is always out drinking, doesn't work and only pays attention to them when they do something wrong.
There is no way in hell, and I mean no way, Clay could tell his parents about George. They would instantly kick him out or kill him. 100%

Karl was the only one who knew about this abuse Clay dealt with, having seen him arguing with his dad in the front window of his house one day as a child. And the fact that Karl had seen a bruise Clay had on his stomach, and many before and after in various different places.

"Hey guys, Clay's here."

Karl and Nick both said hi, as Clay and George both sat down opposite the two. Everyone began to talk, talk about homework they all had and tests, and everyone's home life.

"Clay, have you told your parents about you and George?"

"Oh uh.. no not yet.. they're really strict with dating and stuff, and I don't think they're that supportive."
