Hanahaki: the victim of unrequited or one-sided love begins to vomit or cough up the petals and flowers of a flowering plant growing in their lungs, which will eventually grow large enough to render breathing impossible if left untreated.

Cures: surgical removal of the plants' roots (which causes the removal of the victims feelings for the other person), or the illness goes away if the other person changes their mind (develops feelings)

Have you ever heard of the hanahaki disease? You know that thing where people throw up flower petals from their crushes favourite flower until it kills them?
Yeah- and the only two cures either: being to surgically remove the flowers from their lungs but along with that removes all romantic feelings the victim had for another, OR the victims crush developing feelings for the victim and BAM cured?

You have? Good.

If you haven't- well you have now.

Now.. let me show you an example of how one starts:

Dreamwastaken. Or Clay (something). He had fallen in love with his best friend, George Davidson (Or Georgenotound). When he figured out his new feelings, he was ecstatic. But there was one issue (at the time), Dream lived in Orlando Florida USA and George lived in London England. At the time he thought all would be okay, he thought that he would be able to either get over his feelings (which he wasn't entirely sure if he'd want) or be able to ask George out and him say yes (the more hopeful of the two options).

Dream couldn't understand why he'd want to lose feelings for George, or he didn't at one point. George is very closed off from Dream in a lovey dovey way. It made Dreams heart ache, knowing that George only saw him as a friend. Yeah a best friend but still. It hurts.
Even as best friends, George would never really say meaningful words to Dream.

Hell, anytime Dream tries to convince George into saying that he loves him, even as a joke, he refuses. Anytime the fans trick him into saying it, Dreams heart shatters a little more. He knows that no one like George would ever love someone like Dream.
This somehow, made Dreams feelings grow instead of shrink. It made his heart ache, for he adored George. He loved George with all of his body, his heart, his mind. Anything. And George didn't love him back..

I guess that's what happens when you fall in love with your best friend..

He, trying all he could to get rid of the agonising pain he felt in his heart, tried distancing himself from George for a while. He tried to take a break from his phone. He tried to just ignore him. He tried anything you could think of. All but breaking his friendship (because he physically couldn't, and didn't want to).

Nothing worked.

Try as much as he could, Dream could always find himself going back to George.

Stupid George. Stupid, oblivious George. With his perfect brown fluffy hair and beautiful mocha eyes that Dream could happily stare into for an eternity and longer... his perfect smile and adorable and contagious laugh that could brighten up anyone's day. With his-

You get the issue. He was down bad for this man, but luckily (and only for this reason) George was half way across the world. Four thousand miles away from Dream. Even though he had been trying for a visa for about three years now, it hadn't been accepted yet. So there's no way it'd just randomly get accepted now.. right?
