"Trent said he's on his way over for dinner," Thomas announced as he entered the kitchen.

I was almost too exhausted to even think about dinner after such a long day. Today marks day 3 at the Reed house. Day 1 consisted of me arriving and flipping out. Day 2 consisted of me almost getting stepped on, meeting with social workers, and online shopping with Blue. Which also marked my first time using the internet. And now Day 3 consisted of me actually trying to explore this gigantic house I'd be living in, and ultimately getting way too much of a workout in doing so. I don't know how other humans handle living in a world built for giants, but so far I'm exhausted.

Thomas and Blue have been beyond generous as well. They gave me a tablet, laptop, and cellphone as if it wasn't a grand expensive purchase. Apparently they knew the CEO of the mega company Fuse, and he gave them these items for free. Fuse makes all sorts of electronics, and services for both giants and humans. Additionally, they even let me pick out clothes to order, and they didn't even care when the total was over 150$. Kerry Redington never took me shopping. I wore the same 5 outfits everyday, and slept in the same couple of sleep shirts I had acquired over the years. I don't even know how I'll look in these nicer clothes when they arrive.

I've grown more comfortable around Blue and Thomas as well. It's still jarring to see them move around, and I still prefer to use the walkways over letting them carry me, but so far I've managed to share a few meals with them and have pleasant conversations. Sitting at a table with a mom and a dad is actually kind of nice. Was this the life I was meant to have all along?

Whenever I speak with Blue and Thomas, it's like we avoid the topic of Kerry and that entire situation. I'd be lying if I said the situation with her was straining my heart. As soon as I learned how to use a search engine I researched so much about the kidnappings, and Kerry. She actually murdered innocent children, and my whole life I walked across the grass that covered up their bodies, and never knew. I'm sure this is why everyone assumes I need therapy.

My place setting had its own table for me to use. I was surprised to see that Blue had set the table for two humans instead of one. Maybe they made a bunch of food, so I can put some on a second plate and heat it up as leftovers tomorrow.

"Hey River, I have someone here to see you!" Trent said with his way too loud and deep voice making my stomach sink for a moment. Breathe. This is just Trent. He's technically my brother, so I shouldn't be worried about him... now whomever he's brought with him on the other hand, that might be worth the jolt of fear.

"I think he brought Morgan," Thomas replied, as if that would calm me down. Who in all of New Earth was Morgan?! Wait- that might be Trent's fiance. Great. Just great. I have to be brave in front of yet another giant. It will probably offend Trent's fiance if I flinch everytime she moves, but for now I can't really help it. Trent rounded the corner into the kitchen and I was surprised his fiance didn't appear behind him.

"Oh my gosh! Hi!" A female voice said from Trent's hand.

Trent's hand reached the table, and revealed a beautiful woman with brown skin, thick curly hair, and dark brown eyes. She wore a purple and green t-shirt and a pair of tight blue jeans that showed off her perfect figure. While she was by no means tall, she was still taller than me.

"River! I'm Morgan, Trent's fiance. I'm sure you don't remember me, but I am so happy to see you!"

"Hi," I finally said, thankfully finding my voice.

I looked between Morgan and Trent and so many questions filled my head. How did they meet? How did they date? How are they together?! I'd seen the police officers and social workers have humans as co-workers but to have an interspecies relationship?! That must be crazy difficult, and yet, Morgan seemed completely unphased to be carried in, and sit at a table surrounded by giants.
