I didn't manage to remain invisible or quiet when I cried out in pain. Since this wedding had both giants and humans Blue said I could wear my black flats. No one would see my feet anyways beneath the long dress. It wasn't like I was going to be walking down the aisle. At this point, I don't think I'll be walking anywhere until the shards of glass are removed from my foot. Apparently the thin cloth material of my flats provided little to no defense against the sharp glass that had pierced through my flesh and embedded in my right foot. I lifted my foot up as soon as the pain registered only to confirm what I probably could have predicted, when I proved that I lacked any type of coordination to balance on one foot. I began to fall, anticipating landing in a pile of even more glass when I landed on a soft surface instead.

The ground fell away and I was lifted into the air entirely too fast. I'd been picked up so many times at this point, but I'm still not like Parisa or Morgan. I need things to be slow. This was too fast. I need to have a say in this. I need control. In this moment, and in my life. The room practically vibrated with too loud voices, and too fast of movements. And then there was my foot. This hurt way more than stubbing my toe or even scraping my knee. This level of hurt made me think of times I've tried so hard to forget. Things my mind sometimes wont even let me remember. I needed this to stop. I needed everything to stop.

"Stop! Let's give her space!" a too loud voice boomed even louder than the other voices. It was at this moment that I realized I'd closed my eyes. Opening them, I confirmed what I already knew in the back of my mind. I was sat in Jacob's palm and in front of me Blue, Thomas, Trent, and Mr. L leaned in, each seeming to compete to get a closer look. I know that they all meant well but they were too big right now.

"I'm sorry! I- I'm fine!"

"You're not fine!" Trent snapped in a tone that I hadn't heard him use toward me. I involuntarily flinched and honestly wished I could disappear. "Sorry. I mean let's not jump to any conclusions," Trent added in a softer tone this time.

"Jacob, let's bring her to the restroom," Thomas said, and I was carried into a giant bathroom attached to the suite. Each of Jacob's steps sent a slight vibration that sailed through the hand that was holding me, making my foot ache. How had I been so dumb? I was trying NOT to be noticed. Not only because I didn't want to face Jacob if he was mad at me still, but I also didn't want to pull any focus from Trent on his big day.

Once deposited on the white marble counter I was finally still. In front of me Blue, Thomas, and Jacob stared at me with wide eyes and worry clear across their faces "I'm sorry. I'm all good. Don't worry about me. Today's about Trent,"

"River, are you able to take your shoe off?" Blue asked.

Okay, taking my shoe off would definitely hurt. I think the best thing for me to do would be to just sit still. Maybe if I sit still long enough I'll turn into a statue that no one will notice. I saw Blue lean even closer as her hand came towards me slowly. Blue had the smallest hands of all the giants present, but I don't know that I'd be comfortable with her trying to remove my shoe in this state. It's so small compared to her hand. Let alone letting Thomas, Trent, or Jacob get near it. No, I think I'll just sit still... Maybe if they get me a towel I'll clean it up and it'll all be like it didn't happen.

Trent and Mr. L burst into the bathroom, making the room entirely too crowded. I scooted back until my back was pressed against the gigantic mirror. Trent shoved past Thomas and Jacob, bringing his hand towards me. To my relief and surprise Trent wasn't trying to grab me. No, instead he was placing Aaron in front of me.

"River, let's take a look at that foot," Aaron said, holding a white and red first aid kit out.

"It's fine I'm good,"
