***JACOB POV***

"Yo? Earth to Mangello?"

Sh#t, I'd zoned out again.

"Yeah?" I replied, turning to face Trevor.

"What's wrong with you dude? You seem off,"

"Sorry... Nothing. Just have a lot on my mind,"

The real reality is I don't really have that much on my mind. I pretty much have one person on my mind... River. She hasn't talked to me all week, and it was making me more and more anxious by the day. I'd gone back to sitting in the giant-only section. I wish I could rewind time and somehow stop Candace from making this all... ugh.

"You keep looking at table 8. Issac's not there. I think we both know where he is,"

"Where who is?" Candace asked as she slid into the seat next to me, placing her small tray of fries down. I quickly looked across the table, trying to grip Trevor's eyes. He has such a big mouth- not sometimes - but all the time. The last thing I needed was for Trevor to bring up Issac or River in front of Candace... AGAIN. Trevor is so annoying sometimes.

"Who do you think?" Trevor retorted through a mouth full of pizza.

"Shut up man," I said to Trevor, finally locking eyes with thim.

"Mmm, I think it's sexy when you put Trevor in his place," Candace rasped as she leaned towards me, clearly expecting a kiss. I turned, and our lips quickly locked. I went to pull away, but Candace's hand had gripped the back of my head so there was no going anywhere. We were basically making out until Trevor started coughing obnoxiously.

"Y'all need to get a room," Trevor said as Candace and I finally broke apart.

"Maybe we will... You guys are coming to the party tonight right?" Candace asked.

"Duh!" Trevor replied.

There was this huge party after the giant football game tonight. I didn't really care to go but I haven't been to a party all year, and was running out of excuses. There are only so many times Trevor or Candace will believe "I promised my parents I'd help them with ANOTHER project"... I'd been using that excuse to not hang out. People who don't know me well usually accept that since they already know Dad's President/CEO of Fuse. They just assume I work there and will inherit the company. Pssh. Yeah right. I think I'd have to fight Morgan and Parisa for a shot at running things at Fuse, and we all know Dad has a soft spot for them over me... his problem child.

For what felt like the millionth time this week, I had to watch Issac Green carrying River into our art class. It was hard to make out any expression or anything from my chair, but River certainly did not appear to be fighting the situation. I'd see her slip out of Issac's palm as he set her down in the human seating area. I did NOT like it.

After school I was glad I didn't have to walk Parisa home. It was Friday so she'd most likely be with all her little human friends. There was a human football game tonight, so Parisa would probably be going to a human party. She was almost always at a party on fridays.

"Sweetheart, you seem down. Want to talk?" Mom said from the tiny couch attached to the giant sized couch. It's not fair that Mom can see my expressions so clearly from a far. I didn't even realize she was sitting there, but of course she can always spot me.

"Hey Mom. I'm fine, just working up the energy to go out tonight,"

"You're going to a post-game party right?" Mom asked.

"Yeah," I replied as I sat down on the giant sized couch beside Mom.

"That's good... You're going with Candace?"
