"River! Hey! Wait up!"
I pushed down on the breaks of my e-scooter, surprised to hear someone talking to me. When I turned, I saw it was Parisa.
"River! Hey! I'm glad I caught you before class. How are you doing?"
"I'm good. How're you?"
"I'm great. Um, do you have any plans on friday? I'm going to a party after the human boys football game if you want to come. I'm sure we'll be celebrating a win this time. It'll be super chill... It's in an all human subdivision so it's kind of cool to go to houses like that sometimes... I guess you lived in houses like that your whole life though,"
A human only subdivision?! That did sound enticing. Not because I didn't like my family but I wouldn't mind seeing everything at normal heights once again.
"Uh, sure. I'll ask my parents, and if they say yes, I'll try and make it,"
Parisa agreed to text me the full details. Then, the two of us made our way to our first hour class we of course had together. "Where's Jacob?" I asked Parisa, realizing it was kind of weird that he didn't carry her to first hour like normal.
"Oh, he's not feeling well today. I guess he got really bad sleep last night so he's staying home,"
"Oh..."
Buzzz.
My phone buzzed and it was Issac.
ISSAC: Meet me in the co-ed section for lunch?
RIVER: okay
For a moment I thought it was going to be Jacob messaging me. Why? Parisa had literally just told me he was out sick today. I doubt he'd want to spend his day off messaging me.
Once lunch finally rolled around I headed up to the co-ed section. The elevator door opened and I was anxious looking around for Issac. I noticed Parisa's table sat mostly all humans, but did have 2 giantesses sitting with her. Then, I felt rumbling steps that were most likely approaching my table. I turned, expecting to see Issac, but instead, I saw Candace. She looked down at me with her lips pursed, in a not so happy expression. I gulped, feeling the hairs on the back of my neck rise.
"Hey River," Candace said casually as she sat down at my table. Candace's movements were so abrupt that I found myself flinching. "I feel like you and I need to have a little chat,"
"O-okay,"
"Jake has been acting kind of strang lately,"
...
"Do you know what I think is up with him?"
"Um, no?"
"I think he's been distracted by you,"
"Oh. I'm sorry,"
"Here's the thing. I don't want to have a problem with you, but if you don't back off from Jacob, then I'm probably going to have a problem with you,"
"B-but I didn't do anything,"
"Yeah right. You human girls are all the same. You think you can come steal giants from us giantesses. It's annoying how more and more giants are down to date human girls, but then human guys don't want to date a big scary giantess,"
...
I didn't really know what to say to Candace. I figured saying nothing was better than trying to fight with her.
"So basically if you don't back off of my boyfriend, I'll show you just how big and scary of a giantess I can be! Got it?"
"Everything alright here?" Issac asked as he approached the lunch table with furrowed eyebrows.
