Running as fast as I can in the downpour, I rush home.

The wind is like in those fables, sending away everything light in its way— like branches or empty soda cans.

The bag my grandparents gave me is heavy, but I still use it above my head as an umbrella. It doesn't help much. Actually, it brings disadvantages as my arms get tired.

Today really isn't my day. A car almost runs me over— I find myself hoping it did— but I continue my path.

As soon as I'm in front of my house I fall down in muddy water. A pond, situated right in my front garden, camouflaged by some fallen leaves.

"Fuck." I mutter, quickly getting up and unlocking the house. I enter it, panting heavily. I drop the bag down on the floor, carefully so that nothing would break.

Because of the dark clouds hiding the sky it's kind of dark inside. No lights are on either.

"Jisung?"

He must be terrified. Even I am, rarely have I witnessed such natural catastrophes. The loud noises really are disturbing.

They're loud and unforgiving, punishing whoever gets in their way.

With a quick glance I check the living room. It's empty, as I thought it would be. I walk upstairs.

The clothes glued to my skin feel unbearably annoying. I try to ignore the thought by focusing on opening my bedroom door.

"Oh, Jisung.." I murmur, something inside of me twisting when I see the younger wrapped in Soonie's blanket, rocking himself back and forth while gently petting Doongie.

He doesn't answer. Actually, I think he doesn't even recognize my presence. Is he in some kind of a trance?

When I walk closer to my bed I see that his eyes are wide and his lips are full of fresh blood, his teeth still sinking deep into them.

Not to mention how his body is visibly trembling, jolting whenever a thunder rumbles— which happens quite frequently.

"Hey, I'm back."

But again, there's no answer. I contemplate whether to comfort him or go, take a shower and change my clothes. What would be better?

If I stay drenched I'll get sick.

Jisung whimpers when the lightning strikes, illuminating the room. I sit down on the bed beside him, wetting the mattress with dirt. I'll change it later.

Not figuring out what to do first, I pull him into a hug.

Surprisingly, my hands wrap around him tightly, bringing his shaking body against mine. I place my hand on the back of his head, resting it on my shoulder.

"It's okay, I'm here." I murmur somewhere near his ear,  unknowing what to say or do. I've never been in such a situation like this one before.

It's weird.
