Today, the nineteenth of July, marks the rare day I wake up feeling completely rested.
All the muscles in my body are relaxed. My back and t-shirt are wet from the sweat that was produced overnight. My head feels heavy— in the best way possible.
Although I slept in a sitting position, I feel physically good. And when I feel good, I'm in a nice mood.
Though something feels wrong. Like I'm forgetting something.
Finally, I open my eyes to check the time. That's when I realise why I slept so well.
"Shit, two o'clock!" I yelp as I jump off the couch, sprinting upstairs to my room. The bathroom door is closed which means that Jisung is in there.
Or did I leave it like that last night?
Whatever, doesn't matter. I need to text Hyunjin or Changbin as soon as possible.
To let them know I'll be there at three.
I hurry over to the nightstand, looking for my phone. It disappeared. I check under it, inside, under the bed, on the bed, on the desk, under the desk, inside the drawer, everywhere.
It's nowhere to be seen.
"Jisung?!"
"Huh?" he exits the bathroom, wearing my forest green hoodie and some brown sweatpants. He then walks past me.
"Where's my phone?"
"What phone?"
"My phone, Jisung. Where is it?"
The shorter smirks. A grin that can be seen from the side. "up your ass." he says and runs away, laughing.
But it doesn't take too long until my turn to laugh comes.
Jisung bumps into the wall in the hallway. He wanted to run down the stairs with his head slightly turned to the back so I'd see his tongue sticking out at me.
Failing miserably, he's sitting on the floor now.
And they say karma isn't real.
"Loser." I look down at him with a playful glint in my eyes. "now give me back my phone."
"What makes you think I took it?" he murmurs while getting up, wiping the dust off. " I don't care about your damn phone."
"You do realize I can see it slipping from the hoodie's pocket, right?"
"Oh.."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Now give it back, I need to go."
"Where?"
"At work," I sigh, rubbing my temple. "where else could I be possibly going on a Tuesday?"
"I thought you were going to stay home today."
