Eleven days passed. It is now Thursday, the fourth of August.
Me and Jisung met a month ago, so he made up another date, as he calls it, at the beach.
Like the universe conspired it to happen, Hyewon's parents come to get her thirty minutes before tonight's hangout.
"Good night, see you tomorrow, angel." I hug her one last time and her mother drags her out.
Hyunjin, who in one way or another caught onto my enthusiasm, begins questioning me while I arrange my hair in the mirror painted with different colours and the kids' fingertips.
"Yo," he pats my shoulder and stands behind me. He's taller by a few centimetres. "you meeting a chick?"
"I'm meeting Jisung."
"Your annoying boy friend you keep complaining about?"
"That Jisung."
"Doesn't he live with you or something?"
"Yeah, so?" I ruffle my hair to make it look messy, wavy bangs falling on my forehead.
He whistles. "ouhhh, I see."
"It's not like that."
"Then why are you trying so hard to look good?"
Once I'm finished with my appearance, I grab my black striped bag and put the strap over my shoulder. Upon seeing that I'm about to leave he grabs my arm.
"Wait, take this." the blonde takes out a tube that looks like chapstick. "it makes your lips softer." he makes a kissing sound.
"Go to hell." I groan and walk out embarrassed, plotting his death.
I've never airfryed a human being before, but there's always a first for anything.
His voice is full of giggles as he wishes me good luck and whatnot from inside the classroom.
When I finally leave the building I take out my phone to check the time. It's about twenty minutes until we have to meet there. I took my sweet time getting ready, it seems.
If I start running, I'll get all sweaty and the perfume will have been used in vain.
I sigh, making big steps. My height doesn't help much.
"Minho?" the voice of a girl enters my ear. My head turns backwards in the direction of the bus station.
"Sorry?"
"Hey!"
Oh, I forgot about her already.
In front of me stands The Unknown Red Haired Girl, smiling widely. She has a full face of make up on, I think.
"Can I help?"
"How are you?"
"I'm off to a date." I lie, desperately wanting her to pick up the goddamn sign and leave me alone.
