"I crave something sweet."

"Then go buy something?" Jisung murmurs, his eyes fixated on the cat idling on his lap. Doongie likes him now— maybe even more than he likes me.

Probably because these past few days I've been more at work than home, and therefore Jisung took care of him while I was gone.

It's Saturday, the 16th of July. The clock shows that it's around four in the afternoon.

"I actually feel like cooking, though."

"Do whatever you want, Minho." he continues petting the ginger feline.

"Ugh," I groan, getting up from the couch. I'm off to the kitchen, midway through the living room door. "What's your favourite dessert?"

"I don't eat sweets."

"I don't care, tell me what your preferred cake is."

He takes a deep breath, probably a bit irritated by my bombardment of questions. "Cheesecake, I guess."

"Alright, come with me and let's make it."

"What? No"

"I'm not taking no for an answer."

Jisung sighs, admitting defeat. "Fine.." he mutters while passing by me, bumping into my shoulder slightly. I roll my eyes.

"Alright, you will be my assistant today."

"But why? I don't even want to eat it!"

"C'mon, you like cheesecake! There's no way you will reject it. So shush, and go preheat the oven." I point to the stove, under it, where the said oven is situated.

"I don't even know how to use it!"

"You're what, sixteen, and don't know how to use a damn oven?"

"No.." he looks away, seeming to be a bit embarrassed. "I never used one."

"Okay. Take out some bowls, you can find them in the cupboard right there," I point with my finger. "Then the ingredients," I tell him exactly what we need. Eggs, milk, cream cheese, sugar and so much more.

He nods. I start by preheating the oven to about one hundred sixty degrees. Then I prepare the crust, combining it with some biscuit crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.

"With the mixer, stir the cream cheese until it's smooth." I tell Jisung, handing him the mixer. "Once it's creamy enough add sugar."

Jisung does as I say and in about five minutes it's done.

"We need sour cream but I don't have any. Let's just use yoghurt."

While he mixes the composition, I add about two spoons of yoghurt, then six eggs.

After everything's done, I slowly add the batter to the springform pan I prepared beforehand.

"It's done, we just have to let it bake now." I mumble as I place the uncooked cheesecake inside the warm oven.
