A car honks, tires screeching loudly. I stop in my tracks, startled.

It's night, past eight. Since it is already Friday I had to go back to my job, and now it's finally over.

Miyoung ignored me the whole day today and I couldn't be happier. Seriously.

Looking around, I try to make out what's occurring. It sounded like a prevented car crash.

I'm on the backstreet now, peeking at the road.

There's nothing more interesting than a stopped car with flashy lights and someone sprawled on the ground. The vehicle drives away immediately. I don't stop it.

It's not my business.

My stomach twists when I notice a pool of blood around the head area, but then I realize it's just hair.

Holy shit.

"Miyoung?" I furrow my eyebrows, gasping.

Her eyes are closed, her position looking lethal. Did she die? No way.

No fucking way.

I take out my phone and dial the well known phone number, quickly telling the details.

Although I don't care about this woman, I can't let her die on the streets or whatever. There's nobody out here, which is quite weird considering it's still early.

Deeming it's a forgotten stray path used for trash with a mere, small opening to a road in between some apartment complex buildings, I don't question it much.

The hurt person remains still, not really moving. However, she doesn't look that wounded.

Soon enough a van in two colours: yellow and white, pulls up, two paramedics getting out of it with an orange stretcher.

Gently, they pick Miyoung up and set her inside. I've been in an ambulance before. It gives me a blue feeling.

When I turn to leave and go back to Jisung, I'm stopped.

"Were you the one to make the call?" a man asks, looking down at me.

"Yes."

"Come with us."

"Why?"

"Because you're the only witness."

"I'm in a hurry." I lie, not wanting to go for her. It's really not my business; plus, she looks fine.

"You need to speak to the police. Come on."

Sighing, I climb inside the back, looking down at her. There's no bruise whatsoever, or anything bad in particular.

Her personality is bad.

"What happened?"

"I don't know."
