"Where is Haeinnie?" asks said girl's best friend.
Hyewon is back at the daycare. She didn't come the day before for some reason, but I'm glad she's back. Otherwise I'd have to handle all these annoying little pricks with one hour of sleep.
Having returned home from the little date, I fell asleep on the couch with Jisung. I was obligated to set an alarm beforehand.
My head hurts as if I'm hungover. It could be possible because of my friend's affection towards me, however.
"No idea," I reply, but before I can even finish my sentence Hyunjin does it for me.
"Nam Mirae called. They went somewhere together, she said."
Right. Haein's a regular here, so both me and Hyunjin have her family's phone number.
Haeun loves her so much. She once talked to me for fifteen minutes when I was getting ice cream about how much she cares about the younger. And it's only normal— I think she's her first and only grandchild.
Kitae is pretty silent about it, but he seems lovely. He picked her up a few times.
Mirae too, obviously. She might be in the worst mental state, though the love she has for her daughter is so pure.
"Ah, I see."
"But I miss her." the girl dressed in a green sporty outfit pouts, sitting cross legged on the ground.
"I miss my Seungmin too." the tallest here groans, head buried in his arms on the high up table.
"He doesn't miss you."
"Hye, be nice." I scold, trying to fight back a laugh. She's a menace.
"You little– be glad I need this job."
"Loser."
"Hyewon!"
"What? he started it."
"Did not." Hyunjin raises his head to childishly glare at the girl.
"Hmph!"
Sighing, I can feel the exhaustion set in my body, calling for the fire rage as a backup. "you two, stop it, or I'll send you both to the corner of shame."
"Sorry." they say at the same time, the boy pretending to fall asleep and the girl continuing her drawing.
Probably because of the lack of rest I got, (I don't regret it; it was for a very good reason) I'm in a bad mood.
And when I'm in a bad mood, I get harsh with those around me. I'm always in a bad mood.
Technically— everyone was right in the past, and soon in the future.
I tiredly copy Hyunjin's position across from him. It hurts my neck a little, but I'll survive.
Soon enough I teleport to dreamland, where all my worries transform into a peculiar scene I'd oh so badly want to know the meaning of.
