Secrets are nothing more than information. A tool. It's something that can either destroy a person or make you wish that you never knew. Secrets come in all shapes and forms. It can either be dirty, deadly, or innocent... But a secret can't be kept if more than a person knows.

Because just like a telephone game, the way it's been told can change and if the secret isn't kept well, it can haunt a person until their last breath. There's secrets you never want to spread. Secrets you want to keep just to yourself but live with fear that someone may find out.

There's secrets you hope won't reach the ears of a specific person. There are secrets you're ashamed of hiding. There's just a lot of secrets, but one things that everyone seems to be having trouble with and accepting are that secrets always seem to find their way into another possession.

As I'm walking down the halls for my high school, with my bluetooth earplugs on, listening to All Eyes On You by Smash Into Pieces. The sounds blocks out the noises around me. I can't hear the mumbles, the laughters, or the words that leave their lips. Instead, I have my fingers dancing to the music.

As I make my way to my locker, I see Anna Johnson. Her dirty blond hair tied up into a loose ponytail. Light makeup that it almost seems like she isn't wearing any to give her the athletic and kind look. Her skin fair, school jacket which belonged to her older sister and white v-neck shirt, showing her thin golden necklace which has the letter A. It doesn't stand for her name but her secret lover.

She's laughing by her locker at something her best friend, Rosy Miles, said. Now, Rosy is a cheerleader. She's beautiful with and without her uniform. Right now, she's wearing her boyfriend's football team jacket and a short loose dress with her beautiful silver cross necklace. Anna is in the school's volleyball team and from what I've heard, they've been friends since kindergarten, but what Rosy doesn't know, Anna fucked her boyfriend behind her back multiple times.

And Rosy, well, she loves to get high and not to mention her father is a pastor.

I then notice Mike Muhammad walking past me with his friends. He's in the same grade as I am, a senior, and in the basketball team. His father is from Jamaica and his biological mother, Cuba. They're divorced. He doesn't have an accent, but apparently he's able to speak his parent's language. He's the star player of the basketball team but his secret? He's in a relationship with his step-sister who is adopted.

Over there, the one drinking water at the water fountain, is Cedric Louis. He's the one who has connections to a few kids outside of school, who hooks people up with the good stuff. His father is a cop. His secret? He wants to be dominated and degraded but he has the reputation of a dom and is ashamed of his submissive side.

Hailey Michaels, the one going inside the English classroom, is sleeping with the English teacher who's her father's best friend.

Mrs. Thomas, the music teacher, not only had an affair with a student but is also in serious debt because of her husband's gambling addiction. Her secret? Her night job at Red Cherry and continued affair with many other men.

Everyone has their secrets and I know them all. How? Well, I watch, observe and listen. I'm not the main character, I am just a background who just exists. And as I've reached my locker, I put a pause to my music, so that I can hear a few students talk about their little secrets or rumours they have heard.

"Morning," I look to my right to see a classmate greet me as he puts in his locker combination.

"Morning," I say back as I look at him.

Ryan Holland, his locker is near mine and we've been in the same class for two years, but the only time we ever talk is in class. The reason for it is because we sit next to each other and because we're the only ones left in group projects. We don't talk after school, sometimes during lunch but we don't text each other.
