Crazy Over You

📚 Chapter 8 📚

"Chilly!" I yell when I see my eldest brother walk through the front door when I was just making a trip to the kitchen for food. I run to him like there's no tomorrow and jump which made him laugh as he opens his arms and catches me. I wrap my legs around his waist as my arms goes around his neck. I give him the tightest hug.

I haven't seen him for months. Six months due to work and school. "I missed you too," Chilly says with a smile as he takes a few steps forward, his bags on the ground which he dropped when he saw me.

"Chilly is back!" Andrew yells as as soon as Chilly puts me back on the ground. Andrew jumps on him the same way I did and then Milos comes running and doing the same. Chilly laughs as he holds on to the twins. I'm really happy to see my brother is back, but then the front door opens and my smile just gets brighter.

"Well, damn. And here I thought I was the favourite brother," Denny comments as he drops his bags on the ground, waiting for someone to come running to him. I laugh and walk to him at super speed and hug him.

"You were home two months ago," I remind him to tease him but I still give him a tight hug which he returns.

"Good to know my baby sister still thinks of me," he jokes, pulling back from the hug then having the twins runs to him and hug him.

"Looks who's back home." Eros comment from the top of the stairs, leaning on the railing as he looks at his two older brothers.

"At least we moved out!" Denny argues.

"As much as I was against it," Mom says as she steps into the room to greet both her sons who came to visit for a weekend. "I'm so glad all my kids are home," she smiles as she hugs Chilly first as he was the closest. She kisses his cheek and then does the same with Denny.

"Two out, three to go," Dad mentions with a smile as he goes to welcome Chilly and Denny. Eros walks down the stairs to also hug his brothers.

"Three?" I question since dad's math doesn't add up. 

Two moved out due to university as it's not close to home at all. Denny is at the University of Alberta which is very long drive here unless he takes the plane which he has. And Chilly is at the University of McGill which is on the other side of the country. He has already earned his degree, passed the MCAT and now is in med school which is at the same place he got his degree. In all honesty, the whole medicine thing Chilly has to go through confuses me.

However, Eros, I, Andrew and Milos are still living at home. Eros is technically looking for a place to live. Then that leaves me and the twins. I don't know if Dad is talking about the twins as one person or not, counting Eros in the equation, but either way, it's confusing.

"Yeah, Eros, Andrew and Milos," Dad puts it simply which cause everyone to laugh. "What?" Dad questions as everyone looks at him. "You think I'm going to let my only daughter out in the world without her father?" he questioned, pulling me to his side.

I can't help but laugh and hug his waist. Dad put his arm around me which cause the boys to look at Dad insulted. "I love you too dad," I say with a smile as I look at him.

Dad may have six kids in total and because I am the only girl, it's quickly assumed that he spoils me the most and favours me compared to my brothers. As much as that is true, he loves all of us equally, it's just he pays more attention to me since I know he still feel guilty about what happened when I was eight.

I keep reminding him that I don't blame him but it will forever hunt him so letting him be protective or shower me with love is the least I can do to ease him. The same for my brothers since what happened affected all of us but differently.
