"Hey, come and help me," James's says as he gently grabs my elbow, interrupting my conversation with Haley and pulling me towards me. He looks at her with a smile as a way to apology for taking me from her.

He's wearing the volleyball school uniform with the school symbol of our mascot on the back, a Phoenix. Fly and Burn. "I'm going to borrow her," he informs her which Haley just smiles and nods her head.

"No worries. I was just about done with her," Haley chuckles which caused me to gasp.

"Am I just an object now? Something that's passed around without a care?" I ask as if I was offended. "Remember this Haley Chanter. I know all your secrets. The deepest ones even," I remind her as James takes me to the middle of the volleyball court.

"More of a reason to get rid of ya!" Haley laughs as she goes to the stand as she'll be keeping score of the points which I'm also in charge of helping her with.

As it's volleyball season for school, the boy's volleyball team have their first game. The opposing team will be here in half an hour which gives the boy's team more time to prepare as the game will be taking in the school. My brothers, Milos and Andrew, are also staying after school to watch the game. Most students are, but the twins are here to cheer for James. And then James will take us home after the game.

"What do you need me for?" I ask him as James let me go and picks up a ball from the ground which I assume he placed there. "Really? Come on, dude. You have your teammates. What about Ty?" I ask as I know he's wants me to practice with him.

"We're going to practice as a team in ten minutes. For now, humour me." James says as he moves his hand to signal me to move a little closer to the net. "Set me," James smiles before he moves back while holding the ball. "Plus we have a show to put on."  He looks over my shoulder which I have to assume that Elio or Emma have walked in the gym to also watch the match.

"Alright, lover boy," I smile, knowing full well that the show must go on. I pull up my sleeves as I'm wearing a thin jacket which was actually a gift from his mother, Mariana, when they went to Spain to visit the family. I absolutely love it as it's comfortable, amazing for crazy change of weather. It's great when it's cold out and I want to wear short sleeve. It's not distracting nor itchy, not too big or too small. It's amazing. It feel as though it was made just for me.

James throw the ball in the air and I lift my arm. I watch the ball and move to the right position and when I felt the ball touch my fingers, I bend my elbow and then set it up high for him. I've done this many times for him just like how I would have played hockey with him whenever Denny couldn't. It was always like that, we live near each other and close enough that were able to just walk into the house and drag each other to do any kind of activities, of course with some convincing on his part.

Mom joked around saying I'm like a black cat while James is a golden retriever. The opposite yet work well together as I know his limits and strength while he also knows mine. It's the advantages of growing up together and learning to be close but then again, I have done many weird games with my brothers.

As the ball is now in the air, James takes a few steps back before moving forward and taking his jump. I watch him jump high while looking at the ball I've just set for him. Up high and not too close to the next, that's how I describe the sets James like. He looks so fucking cool. I have asked him before if he wanted to just stop Hockey and continue with volleyball. He asked me which one I think makes him look cooler which I had to really think about. Conclusion; hockey.

James just smirked and told me that's why he's still playing hockey.

His hand made contact with the ball and down it went. Quick and hard. It even make a sound once the ball made contact with the ground. "Shit," I say as I look over at the ball that bounced.
