"Why is he like that?" I ask Aimilios who is sitting outside of his shared bedroom with his twin. He's sitting on the ground with his Nintendo in hand, playing some kind of game on it. His back is on the wall, next to the open door. I just got out of my room from taking an afternoon nap as I don't work today to see my brother outside and the other inside.

Andrew, the youngest of us, is on the phone while sitting and doing something but he looks pissed, annoyed and more surprisingly very motivated.

"Trix got a better grade than him in our social studies test. She rubbed it in his face." Aimilios explains, his eyes still glued to the game.

"That doesn't sound like something the human sacrifice would get worked up about," I mention.

"It's not. I was there. I got the same grade as he did. When she shows up, saw our grade, she rubbed it in his face." Aimilios shrugs.

"Just him?" I ask, looking back at my little brother.

"That's the weird part. It was just at him. I didn't care much. Andrew didn't either but then she insulted him and mentioned how the Kwon before us has always scored the highest. That got under his skin so now he's on the phone with Chilly." Aimilios groan and bangs the back of his head against the wall while dropping his game on his lap. He lost his game and isn't too happy about it. "I lost because of you." He blames.

"You lost because you suck," I kick his leg and he tries to kick me back but I stepped back. He couldn't reach me. He tries but fails and now he's laying on the ground. "Is that why your ass is out here."

"No. My ass is out here for everyone to see, smell and appreciate because it's that great," the sarcasm in his tone is really obvious. "He was being annoying. Chilly is helping him with his homework so that he can get a perfect grade."

"Shouldn't you do the same?" I ask while crossing my arms.

"Nah," Aimilios smiles. "Chilly was the valedictorian. Dennis was the valedictorian. Eros turned down to be the valedictorian because he did not want to give some fancy speech nor stand in front of people he didn't like and say some bullshit like "I spent great years in this shithole with you all" and this year, you're the top of your grade but wether you give a speech or not is on you. And then there's Drew and I. Only one can be valedictorian and I say not me." Aimilios goes to lay on his side.

I roll my eyes and kick his butt. I walk past him for him to ask me why I bully him like that. I just laugh and tell him it's because I love him and he rolls his eyes and tell me how he wonders why James is so damn in love with me.

The mention of James does something to me. I walk down the stairs, thinking back to yesterday. To the dance and the kiss. To our laughs. The kiss. To our conversation. To our kiss.

I didn't get any sleep because of it.

It was so awkward. I got my clothes but before I could change into them, James's mom suggested James to just take me home. I mentioned his clothes I have on for her to say that whatever James's owns is mine by rights. I force a laugh. Usually, James would put his arm around me or touch me in some way, agree to it to continue our charade but he didn't.

The car ride was quiet except for the radio. The worst part was that Taylor Swift's songs were playing so that didn't help. It didn't help at all but luckily, I live near by. I quietly thanked him and got out of the car. He called out my name but all I said is goodnight and went inside. I immediately took off his clothes and changed into mine. I couldn't sleep in his clothing.

I just couldn't.

I can't have my bed in his scent.

What did yesterday mean.
