New York, New York
February 22nd

Sigh. As if yesterday wasn't the real thing, today surely was. I stared out the window as the cab drove through traffic. Morning time in New York was the worse, but I was using this disadvantage to clear my head. I haven't been able to do so and I needed to. If only I had my journal with me, I'd document my feelings. It was an activity I found way more therapeutic than yelling and screaming.

I mean I still do that from time to time, but I also write it out when needed to. The most inappropriate things were in that book. Until I was able to get it, I had to think things through.

I was currently on my way to Kasey's penthouse. I found out last night that he lived in one instead of a home. I got myself mentally ready. New York penthouses were elite, so I read on Google. They were luxurious, big in size, and spacious. Nothing I wasn't used to. The only issue I was going to have was the long elevator ride to get up there. I don't think I have time for that. Then again, I was stuck in traffic for twenty minutes before making any progress so maybe I do have the time.

Didn't matter.

The ride started to get slower and I saw that we were near some large buildings. I had to pressed my head against the window just to see the top of them. The cab finally came to a stop in front of a building. I guess this was it.

The doorman dressed in a red and black suit approached the cab. He opened the for me and held his hand out. I grabbed it and got out while the driver got my one suitcase. I had plans on finding a few malls out here to go shopping. After I saw my new home.

Ugh, it sounded so weird thinking that.

I saw Kasey come out the building and it was even more weird knowing I was about to be living with a stranger. However, he seemed cool for the most part. He talked to the doorman for a second and I stared at him. Surprisingly, he looked a lot better than what I imagined.

For some reason, I imagined him to be one of those white boys I always saw down in Seattle. The dirty looking ones. The ones who constantly flipped their hair out their face and spoke in a weirdly dark tone. Justin Bieber impersonators with a buzz cut of some sort. Instead he was pretty decent looking, I guess. Long jet black hair that was pulled back in a man bun and an insanely sharp jawline that went well with his square face shape.

He was skinny in size but still muscular in the arms, and pretty tall. I couldn't guess the exact height. Thick black eyebrows, a well defined nose, and round light brown eyes. I was expecting him to be amongst those blue-green eyed folks.

But, he wasn't.

I didn't notice until now that he had tattoos on her arms. They were covered yesterday, so I missed it. Once he was done talking to the doorman, he started to make his way towards me. By now I was just standing there on the sidewalk alone since the cab had already left. These drivers didn't waste no time.

"Hello," Kasey greeted me. His voice was deep, but not too deep where it sounded weird.

It damn sure didn't fit his appearance though. I was expecting something more soft, low toned, and squeaky. But I had to remind myself that everything about this family was out of the ordinary. I mean Kasey looked nothing like his mother and father. They both were blonds. His mother was skinny and tall, his father short and chubby. They reminded me of Mortica and Gomez Addams for some reason. Maybe, he was adopted. Or maybe his genetics were all the way messed up.
