March 18thA/N: You're welcome😊

It was already Saturday. These last few days went by too fast. I blinked and here I was at this fashion show. Crowded with rich folks with nothing else better to do on a Saturday night. Looking around, there had to be at least two thousand people in attendance. That's including photographers, magazine writers, and social media personalities. Everyone wearing white while I dressed in this ugly salmon pink suit. Jeez, I want to go home.
"And he's all like 'I'll get the bread and you can get the eggs'." Veronica joked, causing the whole table to start laughing.
Besides me since I didn't understand the joke. I was confused actually on what we were speaking on. I had zoned out minutes ago due to boredom, so I heard nothing of what they were speaking on. This show was lasting a lot longer than I remembered it was. There were different sections for the different models. I still haven't seen Xena yet and that's the only person I was waiting for.
I wished nothing bad happened. My mom had disappeared a few minutes ago due to an issue going on. I had a feeling the issue was Xena, which was making me worried. She probably got cold feet which explains why the next part was taking so long. It didn't seem like anyone cared all that much anyway. People were socializing and using this intermission as a moment to get themselves out there. Reason why our assigned table was now crowded with talk show host Veronica Wright, fashion magazine writer Adam Howard, and fashion blogger Elliot White.
Calvin, Tom, Blondie, and a couple of other folks were entertaining them. While I sat here wanting this entire thing to be over with. The issue had to be solved in order for that to happen. And I have a feeling I knew how the issue was.
"Pearl's taking an awfully long time to come back. It's said that the show has four sections, we only saw three. Where's the last one?" Elliot White asked the most important question of the hour.
My eyes shifted over towards Calvin who found himself stuck. While he sipped his drink, he looked around the table. Him and I made eye contact and I gave him a shrug. I was just as clueless as him.
"Uhh, well, she ran off to handle something. She's always busy and running off somewhere. She'll be back soon." He came up with something.
Elliot White hummed as if he didn't believe Calvin. I wouldn't either honestly. Since I didn't care all that much, I tuned them out and fell back into the daze I was in before. It didn't last for long since I felt a vibration. I reacted quickly thinking it was my pager but it was my phone instead. I was a bit confused to see Xena calling but I didn't question it.
"Excuse me," I said to the table then got up. I answered the call then pressed the phone to my ear so I could hear.
"Oh! You actually answered," Xena said in a surprised tone.
"Of course, I answered." I responded. I exit the building in order to hear her more clearly. And because I wanted to be out of there. I was grown ass hell so I don't know why I didn't leave. It didn't feel right for some reason but that was irrelevant.
"Are you alright?" I asked, leaning against the wall.
"Umm, no." She answered quickly. "I can't do this."
