New York, New York
May 13thXena L.
I groaned when I felt my body shaking. Someone was awakening me from the deep slumber I was having and I wasn't a fan of it. That someone being Kasey since I smelled his cologne. He knew better than to disturb my sleep, especially if it was concerning sex. My body was aching from last night and I was exhausted. I assumed since I wasn't getting up that he would stop but he continued shaking me.
"Xena." He finally said my name. I groaned again, moving my shoulder so he could stop.
"Babe, please not right now." I begged. "My legs hurt and I'm tired."
Almost instantly after that statement I remembered our deal. If I tap out then no Disney World for me and my birthday was coming up. I desperately wanted to go and I knew Kasey would use anything against me to say I'm tapping out. I wasn't, I just needed a break to recoup.
"By the way, I'm not tapping out." I threw in there with quickness. "I need to gather myself."
"Okay, I didn't come in here for that though." He told me. I hummed, not worrying about the reason he was here and proceed to go back to sleep. Whatever it was could wait until I got up.
I could feel myself falling back to sleep but it was interrupted when Kasey shook me again. I suck my teeth, getting annoyed with him now. I was a different person when I didn't get enough sleep. He did not want to deal with the fury I'll bring him.
"Kasey, this is your warning-"
"Your mom is here." He said, which made me pause. It took me a second to realize what he said then I sat up quickly.
I look over my shoulder at him, my eyes were squinted and he was blurry. I know I was looking crazy right about now but that didn't matter. I know he didn't say what I thought he said.
"What?" I questioned.
"Your mother is here." He repeated more slowly.
"My mother?" I saw that head of his nod. It still wasn't processing and I stared at him confused.
"My mom isn't here." I told him, lying my head back on the pillow.
"Babe, there's a woman in the grand room that looks exactly like you and her name is Cynthia. That's your mother." He went on. I could hear the disbelief in his tone at me not understanding. But I really wasn't.
Why in the hell would my mother be here? She shouldn't even know where Kasey live since I never gave that information out. And I highly doubt Franklin would have that information lying around. I also don't know why Kasey would make something up like that either. It was weird and I was still sleep to deal with the shenanigans. But lying there and thinking things through had me sit up and look at Kasey again.
"Is she really here?" I asked just to be sure.
"I have no reason to lie." He replied. Not once did he crack a smile or express anything else besides discomfort.
Cynthia was definitely here.
"Why is she here?" I asked while wiping my eyes. I still haven't risen from the bed. I was debating on whether I should or not. I did not want to see this woman.
