Chapter 49

"Don't go scrambling in the drawers, pain meds are in the kitchen, come over here and I will get you some" I yell from the kitchen when I hear him opening and closing his drawers

"Can I have it now, it hurts" he says walking to me

His arms wrap around me as he nuzzles his nose in my neck

"If you think this would get me to forgive you, you are wrong"

"I just missed you" he whispers kissing my shoulder

"Yeah?"

"Mhm, work is so hectic and I barely get time with you"

"It's not that bad, you just stress yourself over things like an old man"

"Im not old"

"You are 26" I state

"Doesn't matter, I missed you and thats the thing" he whispers in my neck kissing on that spot

"Sit" I say

"Please forgive me" he whispers

"Eat" I say pulling away as I place the foot on the table

We both ate in silence, he had the pain killer and was laying on the couch in the living room, his eyes closed.

"Wanna tell me what happened in the office?" I ask sitting beside him

he opens his eyes and looks at me.

he sighs before laying the back of his head on my chest so I sit in a way where he could lay down on me. I wrapped my arms around him resting them on his head, massaging a little

"She came to my cabin in the morning, I don't know how she got inside even though I have specifically given instructions not to let her in. She barged in there and ruined a meeting, though thats not my concern but she came in there with an agenda. Every bad thing I have in me, my anger, all the stupid insecurities, she brings it up and no not to insult me but to tell me how bad I am for you. She isnt' wrong, my anger was so bad that I yelled at you yesterday, I let her get to me and that scares me. I don't ever want to hurt you"

"So we are going to believe her?"

"No but she wasn't wrong"

"She wasn't wrong when she told me how impure and dirty I am but you have been with me for 9 months. That just means you should have left me huh?"

"No, you aren't impure. You are perfect"

"Then why is her bullshit getting to your head" I ask caressing his hair

"Because she keeps pushing it, I love you and she can't seem to understand that. She points everything out and then leaves like it was nothing"

"Manik, we both know she doesn't like me, and she hates us together so why would you not just come to me and talk to me about it"

He turns around, his chest on my stomach and his chin rested on my chest as he looks up at me

"I am sorry darling, it was a stupid decision and a worse one to go out and yelling at you. I am very sorry, it will never happen again. i also promise I didn't do anything bad at the bar, you can get the footage or ask around, I promise I didn't even let anyone touch me, I know I was wasted but I promise you"

"Shh shh, im not worried about that manik. I trust you and I would never doubt you" I mumble caressing his face

"I promise you I will never do that again, i was so angry and then when I realized I had yelled at you I got even more pissed off" he whispers

"I know how hard it is for you to express yourself you are angry, handsome. I get it, but I can't have you be hurting yourself manik, you were so wasted and what if the bartender gave you the keys? You would drive home drunk and what if you got hurt? Did you think what nandini would do without you?"

"don't say that" he says hiding his face in my chest

"Mani, babe I 100% get where you were coming from and how angry you may have gotten but we don't do this remember. You yourself said not to ever do stuff like this that one time when she triggered me"

"I know, I told you and then I fell for it being stupid"

"Yes you did monkey malhotra" he chuckles in my chest

"Only you get can get away with calling me that"

"Is that a warning?"

"No baby, just an observation, a statement"

"It better be"

'Im genuinely very sorry and I promise to never to that again, will you please forgive me?" He asks looking up in my eyes

"I forgive you handsome but never again, is that in here now?" I ask tapping the side of his head with my pointer finger

"Yes in there, locked up"

"You are adorable" I whisper kissing his head

He closed his eyes

"Manik when things get hard, you need to come to me so we can talk it through. Your anger is justified handsome but not when it harms you" I whisper very gently not wanting to look like I was accusing him because I wasn't

I was trying to make him understand things will only get worse if we push each other away

"I understand" he says

I lean closer and place my lips on his, he instantly deepens the kiss pouring all his insecurity into it, his hands held onto my hips tighter than he ever does, his lips move in sync with mine. I could feel how bad he needed this kiss.

"Relax" I whisepr when he pulls back

"It was so bad, I was so guilty when I realized I yelled at you and I didn't even know how to come up to you and apologize"

"It's okay, it's over now"

"But I hurt you"

"Your tone wasn't ideal but I understand your intention manik and I know you'd never want to hurt me or scream at me. Now I have forgiven you but we need to work on this anger okay"

"I will work on it for us"

"Thank you"

"Ahhh stop it" he groans when I kiss his cheeks a couple times making me giggle

"Haha Nandini no hahah stop it" he laughs when I tickle him

i laugh just as loud as him when he tickles back

"Hehe okay no more ahahaha manik no ahhaha"

"You started this love, now we play it right" he says with that sexy smirk on his face

"No, hehe no manik" I giggle before his hands could even touch me

"No what baby?" He asks

Before he could say anything I run out of his hold

"If you think you are faster than me, you are most certainly wrong sweet pea" he says chasing after me

I swear his whole house was full of our laughter as we run around.

I run into his storage room hiding behind the piano, I place my hands over my mouth to stop my giggles. I love how he wasn't even touching me or even around me but the anticipating of it was so overwhelming already
