Chapter 57

"You are so perfect" I whsiepr

He turns to my stomach placing a kiss on my tummy

"I really like this dress, it's very cute" he ays

"I do too, it's not too long"

"Too short if you ask me" he mumbled

"yeah?"

"Mhm hmm"

He laid on my lap for a while until I was done curling my hair, the whole time he was either messing with my dress or telling me how nice I looked

"Should we go?" I ask

he nods getting up from my lap, he fixes his hair while I get up and fix my dress

"Hey monkey,  come here, you tie is crooked" I say

He walks over with a box in his hands, because I was wearing really high heels I could easily fix his tie giving him a few kisses on his lips

"Can you take this off" he says touching my necklace

"why?"

"I have something for you" he says

"Mani"

'Shh please" I nod taking it off

He then points at my earrings so I take those off as well

"I saw this the other day and it reminded me of you" he whispers placing a beautiful necklace on me

the necklace had a little firefly and manik's initial on it with a few diamond stones in them, it was shining so bright. He then puts on beautiful diamond studs on my ears, I have never seen such beautiful studs. The round shape, the shine and the diamonds, I swear I have never seen them before

he lifts my hand up and slips in a beautiful ring in my pointer finger, it is the most elegant tiny ring, it's seriously beautiful.

"Manik, this is too much"

'Shh, do you like it?" He asks caressing my ring

"Yes, I love it, it's beautiful but it seems really expensive"

"Who cares, they looks gorgeous on you" he says kissing my head

"Thank you mani, it's perfect" he smiles kissing my nose

"You look ravishing" he says giving me a light squeeze as he pecks my lips

"And you are handsome, very very dashing"

"Thank you my lady" he bows making me giggle

"Shall we?" I ask

He nods grabbing my hand, we walk down to the lobby and got in our car. Getting to the gala cabir and manik were talking while navya and I were chilling in a corner

"Nandini" I hear a voice that causes both navya and i's heads to turn

I sigh a little seeing manik's mother

"welcome, come sit" I say making space for her

"You seem excited to see me' she says

"Definitely mrs malhotra, just eager to see what you are going to bring up today to separate manik and I" I smirk

"Oh trust me nandini, that son of mine isn't right for you"

"And who are you to judge that?" I ask

"His mother"

"Yes, his mother, not mine so don't tell me what to do and don't tell me who is right for me"

"Sweetheart, this attitude is only right when you know how much of a playbpy he is. He might even be with a girl right now" she says smiling

"Yeah? And why is that a problem?" I ask

She leans closer to me

"He just likes you because you give him your emotions but his body needs things you can't give him. And if you don't trust me, let me show you" she says

"Show me what?" I ask being disgusted of what she was insinuating

"How my son gets around" she says

"It's kinda petty you think I won't trust him"

"darling you really should trust your eyes, do you see him anywhere?" She asks and I look around but I didn't see him

"You see nandini, you know a part of him, you know the part he shows but there is so much darkness in him that is yet to be seen"

"doesn't matter, if he has darkness then I will become that light and whose to say I don't have darkness, maybe I am the one being the cunning one mrs malhotra. Maybe I am the one who is after his money" I say and she looked a bit taken back

"Let me show you his reality" she says

"yeah? Come on let's see it together shall we" I say getting up

I handed my coke to navya

"Let me come with" she says

"no, sit. I will be back" I wink at her making her giggle

She knows how I am and she knows that I wont' fall for cheap tricks

I hook my arm against hers walking with her

"Make sure you show me something good" I say

"It's the best to make you believe that he isn't that nice" she says

"Well lets see" I mumble walking with her

When we got to the very back, she stops in her tracks making me stop as well, she smirks at me and points. Rolling my eyes at her stupidness I look at where she was pointing.

This girl stood in front of manik and by the look of it, my heart stops a little.

It looked like he was kissing her but I know, I know he wouldn't so something is going on. I don't know what exactly but there is not a single cell in me that believes he is kissing her.

"You see nandini, it's not you he likes, it's that need or that itch to have someone that's what keeps you close to him, it's not you" she says

"I love you manik" that girl's voice reaches my ears

"Me too soha" he says and I swear to god

"I told you not to fall for his looks, he is a devil"

i walk closer to them and seeing me he doesn't push her but she pushes him a bit stepping away

"Hi" she says cheekily wiping her lips

I look up at manik to see his eyes blank, he wasn't making eye contact, nor was he looking at her. His stare was blank and on the ground

"Sorry, who are you?" She asks

"His girlfriend, who are you?" I ask

"You mean ex? Because he is my fiancé" she says

"Fiancé wow, let me see the ring" I say

This girl shows me her hand, a shining diamond on her ring fingers making me smirk a little. I turn towards his mother smiling.
