I hear nandini's steps coming up the stairs towards my room but she doesn't come in, instead her steps become distant again making em groan in frustration. I just can't sit still when I know she is planning something especially knowing how classy this lady is
"Manik" her voice reaches the room before she does
"Yes" I mumble shutting my laptop
"Okay so I need you to put this on and then you will follow me" she says handing me the same black tie I used on her when we went to that waterfall
"First of all, how do I follow if I'm blindfolded and second, it's your plan, you put it on" I tease
She glares at me walking closer
"You are making fun of my height Manik"
"Nope, absolutely not" I mumble biting back a smile
'Good, sit, I will put it on" she says
I nod sitting on the edge, she stands right in between my legs trying to find the right side of the tie making me chuckle
"Just use any side" I tell her
A smile forms on her lips as if the biggest problem has been solved, my hands automatically curl up behind her thighs bringing her closer to me
"Stop being naughty, focus Manik" she says
"I am focused baby" I whisper looking in her eyes
I love the way she looks at me, as if there is no other person in this world at all. Her eyes reflect so much love, the kind I didn't think would ever exist for me but it does.
"Close your eyes Manik" she whispers leaning down kissing my chin
I closed my eyes and she wraps the tie over my eyes tying it in a knot in the back, she made sure it wasn't too tight or lose. Her lips touched mine for the smallest peck before she grabs my hand
"Come on" she mumbles
I got up holding onto her hand
"Nandini I can' see"
"No shit you silly human, okay be careful, there are stairs"
"You are going to kill me" I mumble
"This wouldn't be how" she says
"Then how?" I ask slowly stepping down
"If I was about to kill you, id make sure you go in a nice way"
"In between your legs" I tease
"Shameless Manik, seriously"
'What? It would be like going straight to heaven you know" I could feel her shaking her head
She is so sweet, it's like she could be telling me the most inappropriate thing but as soon as I say something remotely inappropriate this girl blushes and becomes a tomato
"Mani wait, okay"
"Yes love"
Her hand moves away from mine and I instantly felt agitated wanting to hold her again, I don't know what it is but I just can't stay away from her.
"Untie it Manik" her words reach my ear and I untie it moving it away from my face
As I open my eyes, I couldn't breath for a second. The view in front of me was something I had never ever imagined. My heart drops in all the good ways and I couldn't help but smile through my tears. Now I am not a man who cries but this right here does it for me!
The living room table had rose petals in the shape of a heart, some petals trailed down in a little path towards a spare room in the house, little electric candles also on the path lighting everything up since the lights were off
"Come one, follow it Manik" she whispers
I look over at her and she smiles nodding. i reach out for her hand as she places her hand in mine lacing her fingers through mine. talking slow steps I follow the little pathway she made, the door to the spare room was open so we both step inside and when I tell you I gasped I mean I fucking gasped
the whole room was decorated with red and black decorations, balloons were up on the ceiling. each ballon string had a little picture on it. The floor of the room had rose petals arranged in an 'I LOVE YOU MANIK', candles and little star decoration around it.
I look at Nandini and she smiles at me.
"This isn't all" she whispers
"Nandini"
"Shh I need you to count to 10 for me Manik" she says
I don't argue, I was way too overwhelmed with everything to even think of anything else right now so I start counting to 10
"10" I whisper
She leans up on her tippy toes and places a soft kiss on my lips as I lean down to meet her halfway
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANDSOME, I LOVE YOU SO DANG MUCH" she whispers against my lips kissing me again
"Birthday?" I ask
"Yes, it's 11th march" she whispers
oh my god, it's my birthday, shit. I didn't even realize it, not that I ever celebrate it but I can't believe this girl remembers, I don't even remember telling her it's my birthday, how the hell does she know?
"Happy birthday manik" she whispers
"Thank you baby" I whisper recovering from the whole thing
"Look over" she says pointing at the wall
As I look over, the wall lights up, block letters saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANIK' written on the wall.
Oh my fucking god, I can't believe this, this all feels like a dream to me. I have never had anyone do anything like this for me.
i look down at nandini to see her eyes shinning, her face lit up by the light from the block letters and candles in the room.
"I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCHHH" I scream picking her up in my arms twirling her around, I can't believe this. Oh my gosh
"I love you more" she giggles
"Nandini baby you didn't have to do any of this, how do you even know it's my birthday today?" I ask
"Hehe mani put me down first" she says
I place her on her feet, she leans into my chest
"Come on lets have dinner" she says
"Dinner?" I ask still being mind blown by the decor she did
"Yes dinner, come on" she whispers grabbing my hand as we walk back to the kitchen
She had placed a candle on the kitchen island with rose petals as well, a letter on the side I usually sit at
