"Good morning! Yesterday you guys came to the guild in order to prepare for the summoning, didn't you? I would've come too if you guys had told me... But... Thank you very much for the help."

"Morning. Hm~ It's because we want Ren-chan to focus your mind for today~ Fufu~ You're welcome, Ren-chan~"

We already promised to meet up in the guild this morning. I headed to the guild at 09.00 to see the three of them already waiting for me in the guild. I voiced my dissatisfaction to them before I thanked them properly.

"Shall we get on with the summoning now? Have you memorized the chant yet, Ren-kun?"

"Yes. It's pretty short so I already have them memorized."

"I'm glad to hear that. Let's go then."

Fer-san asked me about the chant before he took my hand and led me to the training ground. I was good at memorizing things so I was sure I'd be alright.

Ah.... Somehow I'm feeling a little nervous...

There were other people following us from behind too. I was told that summoning was a rare thing to do in the first place that was why a lot of people had come to ask for permission to observe our summoning for today. I gave my consent and to my surprise, there were a lot more people than I had expected to. I think there were about 30 people coming to watch. Malik-san and Tord-san were also there too.

With this many people... I really can't afford to fail...

"Whoa... That's a pretty big magic circle."

"Yes. It's because we will never know how big the beast that will be summoned. For your information, there's a record of a beast over 20 meters being summoned, you know?"

Fer-san opened the door for me and after passing through the door, I saw a big magic circle floating in the middle of the training ground. The diameter of the magic circle must be at least over 15 meters. It must've taken a lot of time, drawing such a big magic circle with fine detail like this...

Summoned beast resembled a normal monster in some way. That meant their size usually should go for about 3 meters. But... If by any chance a beast with similar size to the record Fer-san had mentioned appeared, this magic circle then must be too small for them...?

"What will happen if a beast of that size appears?"

"Well... They would need to force their way through the available space. I guess their shape would become heavily distorted because of it?"

"That... That's terrible.."

What?!

I hoped the size of the beast I summoned would fit through this magic circle. I'd feel bad if the beast had their limbs bent in a weird way because they were too big!

"Also, these lines are floating in the air, right? So that means you guys didn't draw it directly on the ground?"

I had been curious about it since the magic circle was floating about 10cm above ground.

"Yes. We used a special ink. You see that thing over there? We used that to draw a magic circle in the air."

"Ooh..."

When I asked Fer-san about it, he pointed to a can a little further away from us.

"Ah! Chris-san! Have you picked up the ring yet?"
