Since I didn't have any other business left in the guild other than confirming my rank promotion, we quickly left the guild before the adventurer who had seen the bulletin board would catch us. Everyone seemed to be curious about the new A-rank adventurer but Chris-san, Fer-san and Sig-san shielded me away from their attention so we managed to escape scratch free.

"Haah...."

"Ren-chan, are you alright?~ Rank promotion is something to celebrate, you know?~"

As I walked away from the guild, I couldn't stop the sigh from escaping my lips. Noticing that, Chris-san tried to comfort me, showing me his soft smile.

"You're right... Yeah, I need to change my mindset! It's not like I'm going to use my nickname often anyway!"

"No, actually- UGH! What is it?! ..... Oh, yeah. Right...."

"What's wrong?"

"Oh, it's nothing Ren. Don't worry about me."

Yeah. Putting the matter about my nickname aside, being promoted to A-rank was something to be happy about. Even if I kept on feeling depressed about it, it was not like I could change my nickname anyway and it wasn't like I had to introduce myself using my nickname... It was just something people refer to you as when they talked about you.

I lifted my head, smiling with a brand new mindset. Sig-san wrinkled his eyebrows, he tried to say something but Fer-san quickly covered Sig-san's mouth with both of his hands and held Sig-san back forcefully. Then Fer-san whispered something to Sig-san's ear, making Sig-san suddenly stop moving in an instant. Sig-san then nodded at whatever things Fer-san had whispered to him. After making sure Sig-san had calmed down, Fer-san finally let Sig-san go.

And yet, when I asked Sig-san what was wrong... They kind of avoided telling me about it? Well, if it was something I had to know, surely they would tell me.

"Hey, Ren-chan~ The three of us had been talking of what we would say to Ren-chan after you got promoted so~ Why don't we stay at an inn tonight instead of returning to the mansion?~"

"Huh?"

"While we're residing in my family's mansion, Ren-kun, you don't want us to touch you to a certain extent because you're bothered by the gazes, right? If that's the case then we thought if we stay at another place then... Well, of course if Ren-kun doesn't feel like it, we can just return to the mansion like usual tonight."

As we were walking aimlessly around town, Chris-san grabbed my hands and told me that. Not long after that, Fer-san then grabbed my hand and added more to the conversation.

True. While we were staying in Fer-san's mansion, I only kissed them on the cheek because there was always a maid accompanying us. Even though Fer-san said it was only his secondary residence, no matter what, these people had been here ever since Fer-san was little. Even if we were able to get into that kind of mood, I still couldn't do it because I was bothered by the people around us.

They waited until I finished my promotion exam... The three of them really had been really patient with me. To be precise, we never did it until the end since we left Laserna. Even though I could cure all muscle pain and tiredness with [Heal], the three of them still didn't want to push me too hard. They wanted me to focus on my promotion exam and only barely touched me at best.
