Chapter 154: Invitation to a Date

"Pardon the intrusion... Ah, I almost forgot....【Lock】"

It was three days after my celebration party. I was visiting their house early in the morning because I had an errand to run.

They already set it up so I could enter this house even if the house was locked with (Lock). So I entered the house without knocking because they told me that they didn't mind if I came to visit whenever I wanted. However, I almost forgot to reapply (Lock) after coming in.

I would be troubling them if they had to come greet me every time I came so I decided to take advantage of the permission they had granted for me. I had been coming in without knocking first lately. But of course, I wouldn't enter their individual rooms without knocking first.

"Good morning."

"Hm? Oh it's Ren."

"Ren-kun, good morning."

Upon entering the living room, I was greeted with the sight of Sig-san sprawled out on the large sofa whily lazily wagging his tail. The sofa was big enough for three of them to sit on but Sig-san was monopolizing it all to himself. On the opposite side of Sig-san, there was Fer-san. He was sitting on the one-seater sofa. His legs were crossed together elegantly. He was holding a book with one hand, he must be in the middle of reading.

Chris-san was nowhere to be seen though. Either he had been out before I came here or maybe he was still in his room.

"Come on, Ren. Come over here."

"Whoa-! Don't pull me all of a sudden like that..."

Sig-san called me over but when I was close enough, he suddenly tugged me by my waist and positioned me on the couch so I was sitting on an empty space in front of his stomach. He then slung his arm around my belly, to prevent me from falling off the sofa.

"Hmm... Mmhm... Ah.... As I thought, Ren's scent is so soothing..."

"Haa... Please stop sniffing me. Where's Chris-san though?"

Sig-san used the arms around my stomach to pull me close to him. He then buried his nose around my side, sniffing me and then made a satisfied sound from his mouth.

The three of them would usually show up in the living room the moment they noticed I was here. Even though they were relaxing in their own room, they would always come to greet me without fail. However, I hadn't seen Chris-san yet today.

"Ah, Chris said he's going to the guild to check on the bulletin board for a change."

Fer-san, who had placed his book on his lap, told me.

.......I see.

"I see... We don't have any problem with money yet but I guess it's true that we haven't taken any quest yet since we returned from the royal capital. Maybe I should go check the bulletin board out too?"

We haven't taken any quests recently... No matter how comfortable we are with money right now, we should still check what kind of quest the guild has. I've become A rank adventurer so now I can take S to B rank quests. Oh, I also can take the quest that doesn't have any specific rank. There aren't many S or A rank quests in the rooster though. Maybe I should focus on searching for a B rank or unspecified quest instead?

"I've never paid any attention to the number of quests each rank has but I guess there aren't many high rank quests in the guild, huh?"

"Indeed. There are only a few S rank quests a year. There aren't many A rank quests either so we usually just take B rank quests instead. It's rare to have 3 high rank solo quests like the one we had before."
