"I know, right?~ Raku is the better choice for a comfortable travel, right?~"

After spending the night at the inn, we went to the place we had gone to yesterday. The old man welcomed us with a smile, even though it was still dead early in the morning. We then brought Flavia who had been waiting for us at the side of the building.

Flavia had something attached to his back, something that resembled the tent people used during sports festivals.

I see... Yeah, with this thing on, we can stay protected from the strong sunlight. I wonder how this thing works though. Even when Flavia moves, this thing stays attached to her without moving from its place.

"Indeed, with this, we don't get hit by the direct sunlight. Although this thing helps us in bearing the heat, we won't be able to see the flying monsters, right?"

The white clothes of the tent on Flavia's back blocked the sunlight but it could also obstruct our field of vision. This tent might make it difficult for us to notice any flying-type monsters lurking around.

"Hm? Ah, right. Ren never seen a raku before. Come closer and take a look from the inside."

Sig-san looked confused for a second before he remembered that this was my first time seeing a raku. He then told me to take a look at the tent from the inside.

I then approached Flavia out of curiosity.

"Oh, it's like a magic mirror..."

Peering in from the inside, I found out that even though you couldn't see the inside from the outside, but you could actually see the outside from the inside. This allowed us to be able to look up at the sky while staying protected within its shade. With this, we would be able to notice any incoming flying monsters.

"Flavia, we'll be in your care for this trip."

I was standing on Flavia's side so I moved to her front so I could talk to her.

"Bumo~"

Flavia responded to me with an indescribable sound.

"Just to be safe, how about if I introduce you to these kids first?"

"Bumo?~"

Yesterday, the old man said that Flavia was good with magic beasts but I was still worried after all. I guess it's better if we test it out first before leaving.

"Altair, Spica, come out."

I spoke to the rings on my pinky.

The rings, each with light blue and red stones respectively, glowed softly before small-sized magic beasts emerged from them.

『Haa~ You finally called us! We've been waiting forever! 』

I had been keeping them inside the ring since yesterday because the room at the inn wasn't big enough for all of us to fit there comfortably. Maybe because of that, they were being more grouchy than usual. Altair perched on my shoulder, voicing his displeasement straightforwardly.

『Hey, you. You better let me ride you, okay?』

"Spica! Why are you suddenly being so confrontational?!"

Spica too, he was clearly not in a good mood. He was being so rude to Flavia and even glared at her.

In fact, rather than 'talking', Spica is threatening Flavia instead. We're going to be traveling together for a while so I hope they can get along well...
