Sig's POV

"Man~ With 4 A rank adventurers in this town, I feel pretty safe living here."

"We might lose our jobs to them though."

"""GAHAHAHAHA!!"""

"You guys! Don't drink too much, alright?"

While we were drinking together, I told these middle aged adventurers who were patting my back excitedly to not get overboard.

But, when I looked towards the stage, I saw Jude handing Ren a glass that I assume was a glass of alcohol. Panicked, I shook the uncles away and ran toward Ren.

"REN! NO!!! DON'T DRINK IT!!"

"WHOA?! Sig-san...?"

Ren didn't seem to notice me running to him with all of my might. His shoulder jumped with a start when I shouted at him. Flustered at my voice, Ren quickly pulled the glass away from his lips.

I looked closely at Ren's small lips. It didn't seem to be wet so that meant he hadn't taken a sip yet.

That was close....

"Come on, give it to me... *gulp*.... Jude. Don't give Ren any alcohol to drink."

"Huh? Ren-kun, you can't have any alcohol?"

I snatched the glass from Ren's hand and quickly downed every last drop of it.

Ah, it's a pretty strong alcohol. If I had let Ren drink this, things might turn south real quick.

With the empty glass still in my hand, I scolded Jude for giving Ren alcohol. He tilted his head to the side, looking confused. While Ren looked cute when he tilted his head to the side, but I couldn't find it cute when someone as big as me like Jude were to do it. I hope he would stop doing it.

"Umm... I can drink just fine but I've promised that I won't drink anymore. I'm sorry..."

Upon hearing Jude's question, Ren explained his situation to Jude and apologized to him. Ren looked a bit upset.

Well, it's true that Ren can drink but it's dangerous if he becomes drunk like he did before... I don't want him to drink with so many people around. He's only allowed to drink if there's no one else but us.

"If you can drink then you should just drink it... Are they the ones stopping you from drinking?"

Seemingly taking a pity on Ren after hearing his explanation, Jude glared at me. However, being glared at by someone lanky like him didn't affect me in the slightest. Jude didn't look threatening at all.

"Umm, that's true but... Well, it seems I'm actually a bad drunk so..."

"A bad drunk?"

"Yes. I tend to forget things that I've done when I'm drunk. It seems I've caused quite a bit of trouble to my fiancés when I became drunk some days ago too."

No! We're not troubled at all! Not at all! But, we just don't want you to let other people see you when you're drunk. If by any chance you were to act spoiled with other guys when you're drunk... It's definitely a call for trouble.

However, seeing Ren explaining the reason to Jude with such a sad expression on his face, I felt tempted to let Ren drink a little.

Maybe it's alright if Ren drinks a little bit...? If it's not strong alcohol, maybe it's alright to give it a go...?
