You could see and feel things other 8 year old girls didn't and got bullied by the other girls from the orphanage constantly for it and with your two different colored eyes, your prayers never got answered, no matter how many tears were shed from the bullying, nothing came to help. Janice and Linda didn't have an opinion on you, but after the final straw from the other girls you kept to yourself your only friend was Sister Charlotte, but she was an adult you prayed for a friend that would be there for you, want to play with you, share with you. Today you and the others were heading to a new orphanage the Mullins property you remember hearing about the dollmaker before, he is greatly admired for his work and maybe one of his dolls could be your friend. You were in the back of the Churchs bus, alone with your thoughts while Janice looked back at you "Linda, I think we should be Y/N's friends" she tells her feeling sad for you "the dead girl? No way, she's talks to walls, she's weird!" Linda whispered to her friend. "Everybody needs a friend, if you won't, then I will" Janice said like she didn't need Linda "what? N-no...okay..." Linda sighed "we'll talk to her once we're home" Linda says "promise?" Janice asked offering to pinky swear "promise" Linda replied pinky swearing. But Janice sighed "but it's not a home, it's just another orphanage" Janice said saddened "it could be fun, and we have each other" Linda says as she leaned on her friend making her smile slightly "that's true" Janice replied. Shortly after they did arrive to the Mullins property and introductions with Mr. Mullins were being exchanged you stood to the back of the crowd as Mr. Mullins began showing you all around. You wandered behind everyone looking around the home "alright girls go on and pick your bedrooms" Sister Charlotte encouraged and as they all raced upstairs you sighed and walked upstairs ready to be alone again passing Janice who was on a chair lift. "Hey, Y/N hang on a second" she says calmly as her chair lift stopped at the top and she began undoing the seatbelt "yes?" You questioned not really wanting to find out what she wanted. "Would you want to bunk with me and Linda?" Janice asked as she got her crutch to help her walk "me? You're not going to pick on me like Nancy and the others?" You asked suspicious of her kindness now. "What? No, we're outcasts like you, come on I-I think I heard Linda in this room" she says starting to hobble along and hesitantly you followed her close behind. "Linda?" Janice called "Janice? In here!" Linda called before poking her head out of one of the many rooms.

"Oh, hi Y/N! This room is so cool, come check it out" Linda says pulling you along after Janice entered "wow, look at all these dolls and clothes" you said stunned "I know right? Maybe Mr. Mullins will let us pick something for our dolls" Linda says climbing to the top bunk. "You may pick a dress, if you like" the three of you jumped before whipping around in the direction of the doorway "my dear it seems you don't have a room yet, I have a hidden spare one you might like" he says offering a hand to you "Janice, Linda will you come too?" You asked looking back at them. "Sure" Linda replied hopping down and Janice had begun her way into the hall as well and you took Mr. Mullins hand as he took you three down the hall beside a locked bedroom door. "Now this room here is always locked but, this is what I wanted you to see" he said before opening a secret door in the walls revealing a little staircase going up "I-I had built this myself for my daughter, Bee, but she never got to see it, it was supposed to be for her birthday" he calmly told you. Hesitantly you went for the staircase making your way up to find a bedroom/playroom with a large window in the front as you got to the top of the staircase all the warmth of the sunlight embraced you as you entered the untouched room. "Wow! We gotta get Janice up here..." You turn around to find Linda looking around in awe "totally, lets do it" you say climbing back down with Linda "thank you Mr. Mullins, I'm grateful for the bedroom" you told him "well, you're very welcome" he said with a soft smile before leaving you three girls "come on Janice, you have to see this" you tell her "I-I can't go upstairs though..." Janice began to argue "we'll help, Y/N can you wait at the top and pull her up?" Linda asked "sure!" You chirped heading to the top "and how are you going to lift me?" Janice asked confused. "Just trust me" Linda says as Janice waits by the little staircase "okay, ready" Janice says still unsure as Linda begins helping her up by pushing her up from the bottom of her foot and you pulled Janice up as soon as you saw her.
