I swing the door open to my office, only to find Max sitting at my desk. I freeze as he turns to me.

"Been waiting for you." He smirks and stands up. I've already closed the door, and when I go to open it, he slams me against it and locks it, trapping me in the office.

"Leave me alone." I growl, but my voice wavers, seeming less threatening than I wanted it to be.

He smirks. "Can I tell you something?"

"...What?"

"I'm above you in the ranks of this company, Y/N." His voice grows colder as he presses his chest against mine, whispering in my ear. "I could get you fired with a snap of my fingers if I wanted to."

My breath catches in my throat as he goes on.

"Stay the night with me..." His arms wrap around my waist uncomfortably. "Or I'll find a way to get you fired."

"...No sex." I whisper. "Please, I-I'm not ready for that..."

"Alright." He bites my earlobe softly. "Meet me at my house at... Eight."

I wince. That was when I was planning on talking to Fell again.

"See you there, hun~" He purrs, then leaves my office.
