Y/N POV

7:19 PM
"I'm glad you're warming up to me, Y/N." Max fiddles with his hands awkwardly.
"Well, you haven't fucked me or made me stay the night at your place yet, so..." I shrug. "Maybe you have changed."
He nods, then looks at me. He leans in and kisses me softly. I don't do anything, as I'm not sure what to do.
"Um." He looks away quickly as he pulls away. "I'll be going, then. Thanks for letting me stay for dinner."
I shrug again. "You're welcome, I guess."
He grabs his things, then leaves. As soon as the door is shut, Riley comes bursting out of the closet, giggling.
"I knew you would warm up to him eventually!" She squeals, wrapping her arms around me. I untangle myself from her, scowling.
"I'm not 'warming up to him', I'm just being nice." I say.
"Stillll~!" She giggles. "So are you starting to like him?"
"I still don't like him. I'm going to my room." I head upstairs before she can say anything, then shut the door. I sit on my bed and grab my laptop. When I open it, I see a notification on Discord.
It's Fell.

Me: I DONT EVEN KNOW I'VE BEEN TOO BUSY GOING OUT WITH MAX TO NOTICE

Fell: 'going out with max"?

Me: came into my office one day with some sandwiches and an apology
Me: he hasn't done anything to hurt me since then

Me: he's been taking me out for dinner or smth
