Felix's POV

I woke up as soon as my alarm goes off. I hurriedly prepared and did my morning routine; and wore my uniform. I just sprayed perfume all over me and got out of my room.

I almost bumped into Chaerin the moment I got out of my room because she was standing there, reading a book. For what?

"What's that for?" I asked and took it from her

"Do you think this will help?"

"I wanted to try-" Chaerin

"But this will not help at all."

Chaerin looked away.

"Good morning, Ahn Chaerin."

Her eyes widened as she realized something. She hurriedly bowed and greeted, "Hi, good morning, your highness."

"I hope to have a good day with you, Chaerin."

She is still bowing.

"But what do you prefer me to call you? Chae? Rinnie? Chaewoo? Achi?"

Chaerin looks confused with the names I gave her, "Chae came from Chaerin, but what about Achi? Rinnie? Chaewoo?"

"Ah, I came up with those names. I just thought you don't want Chaerin, plus I wanna look like we are close to each other. Mom wanted us to keep it a secret that you are my personal secretary, and tell everyone that we have been close since we were kids."

"But-" Chaerin

"No buts, Chaerin." Mom said as she overhead our conversation

"Your majesty." Chaerin said and bowed, I did the same.

"It was the King and my choice to not disclose the information that you work in the palace. I think it's appropriate to tell everyone that you are the daughter of our family friend." Mom said

"I don't dare to accept that, your majesty." Chaerin

"Why not?"

"It's not appropriate to act like-" Chaerin

"Hey, you are still my secretary though. We are not just going to tell anyone about it for you to have the freedom to do everything you want in the university without getting asked about me."

That conversation lasted for several minutes because Chaerin kept rejecting the offer of my Mother, but then she gave in when Father arrived.

Now, we are on our way to the university. She kept praying and hoping that everything will go smooth today.

"So, you chose a name that you want me to call you?"

"You decide, your highness." she said

"Aerin? Are you okay with that?"

She just nodded and kept reading the book.

As we arrived at the university, she kept breathing deeply as she is so nervous about everything that will happen today. We got out of the car and she seems like she is about to cry.

"Aerin, everything will be fine. I promise. Just be yourself."

She took one deep breath and nodded.

We went to our classroom and the professor wasn't there yet. I went to my seat, expecting that Aerin was behind me but she wasn't there. I looked at the door and she was standing as if she is a lost cat.

"Oh! Chaerin!" Jeongin called as soon as he saw her

Everyone looked at Chaerin which made her even nervous.

"Can you bring her here? She is so nervous."

My friends knew about Chaerin attending class here with us, and I also told them about what Mom wanted to happen.

Jeongin came back and Chaerin is with her, "You want to sit beside me?"

"Can I?" Chaerin asked

"Sure!" Jeongin said and happily assisted Chaerin to sit down beside him

The class started, and the professor just asked Chaerin to introduce herself in front of the class which I think helped her kind of calm down.

"From what family-" student

"She is the only daughter of the King and Queen's closest friend, and she travelled all the way from Boston." I explained.

"Thank you, Felix." our professor said

I sat down right after.

During our lunch break, Jeongin kept suggesting Chaerin to try all the foods he brought for her. He was so talkative around and have been telling her things the moment she sat with him.

"Jeongin, you are oversharing." Minho warned him

"Am I? But those were the basics." Jeongin said

"Just let him. He was just trying to make Chaerin feel comfortable around us."

"Chaerin, tell us if you don't feel comfortable, okay?" Chan asked

"I will. Thank you." Chaerin said

She has met my friends a lot of times and Jeongin always talks to her whenever they visit the palace. Actually, Seungmin also tells her about the books that she wanted to read.

The three of them were getting along, while with the others Chaerin is obviously awkward with them. I never asked why.

"Have you thought of what club you are joining?" Changbin asked her

"Not yet. I'm open for suggestions." she smiled

"Great! You should join-" Jeongin

"I actually think you should look at all the clubs and see if you think you wanna join." Jisung said

Jeongin rolled his eyes.

"How about we go to your suggested club? Then I will go to other clubs to see if I wanted to join." Chaerin told Jeongin

"It's okay. I don't want you to be bias just because I suggested a club for you to join." Jeongin gave her a smile

"Felix." Hyunjin called as soon as he went to our table

"Hey. What took you so long?"

"What's with your face?" Seungmin asked him

"Nothing." Hyunjin said and sat beside me

"What is it?"

"She is looking for you again." he said

Fuck. What does she want now?
