Hyunjin's POV

"Sujin."

"Hey. Lord Hoon and Lady Iseul will be waiting for you. They already know you're coming." Sujin said

I have sent messages for Lord Hoon and Lady Iseul about having a conversation with them regarding Chaerin. They didn't answer me as I am assuming that they are really busy. I told Sujin about it and he relayed the messages to the royal couple, and now they are expecting me to be there.

"Hyunjin, I am waiting outside. What's taking you so long?" she asked me

"Okay. Let's go."

We both bid Sujin a goodbye then left the university. I wanted to walk her to the apartment before I even leave her. She doesn't know that I will be talking to her parents about something really important.

"Where are you going?" she kept asking that question several times now

"I'm just going to talk to Sena about something. I will be home after an hour or two. Make sure to lock all the windows, and the main door. I asked the receptionist to keep checking on you."

"What? You're overreacting-" Chaerin

"Oh, really? I found you unconscious on the floor. What would happen if I wasted more time?"

Chaerin rolled her eyes.

"I'll leave now."

I left the apartment and drove to the residence of Ryu clan. It was not that far from the apartment where we are staying at, I think it's about 30 minutes drive from the apartment. As I arrived, the gate opened automatically and I drove along the pathway to the main door. I left my car with their personal driver and went inside.

"Hyunjin. Welcome!" Lady Iseul happily said as she saw me enter their home

"Good evening."

We just sat, and Lord Hoon arrived as well. We did greet each other, and started eating. Sujin joined us for dinner. Chaerin's older brother went to states for some business that he needs to handle for the meantime. He wanted to go home when he found out about Chaerin's situation but Lady Iseul stopped him.

"I'm so happy you visited us here. I remember when your parents would bring you here when you were still five years old. I feel bad though since you don't have anyone to play here with." Lady Iseul said

"I think I remember crying because I want to go home."

And that made Lady Iseul laugh. We just had some storytelling when I was still a kid. They told me that there was a time that they want me to sleep here but I cried a lot and wanted to go home.

"Uh... Anyway, the reason I went here is about Chaerin."

They both looked at each other, and it went silent for a few minutes.

"What about Chaerin?" Lord Hoon asked

"I know you two are informed about her feelings towards Felix, and now that Felix is getting married, it would hurt her so much. I just thought about this a lot of times and made sure I am making the right decision."

"Hyunjin. Do you like my daughter?" Lord Hoon asked

I nodded, "I do like Chaerin. I have feelings for your daughter, sir. That is why I went here."

"Just tell us. We will listen." Lady Iseul said

"If you will give me the permission, I would like to marry your daughter."

After having dinner with them, I have decided to go home and take a rest. I also can't leave Chaerin alone there. I didn't cook a meal for her dinner- I'm sure she hasn't had dinner yet.

The conversation with her parents went well. When I asked their daughter's hand for marriage as well as their blessing, they were both too stunned to speak. I expected that since it was so sudden. Anyway, they hesitated but eventually they gave me the permission.

But there is something that they told me. Given that I am aware of Chaerin's feelings for Felix, I should expect that there are times that I would be hurt and would question her feelings. Also, happiness won't last that long.

As I arrived, I asked the receptionist for Chaerin and they said she was answering their calls, and there are no one who visited her. After making sure of that, I went to her unit.

When I entered I heard Chaerin talking to someone. I tried to look and she is on her phone-

"Hmm... Don't worry. Everything is fine with me. I don't even think about it now. I mean we had feelings for each other, of course, it's normal the way we reacted the first few days." Chaerin

Who is she talking to?

"I know but things will be fine. You two will learn how to love each other. I promise you that. Don't worry, Felix." Chaerin

I clenched my fist.

"Thank you and I am wishing you all the best. Of course I will be there on your wedding day. Thank you. Goodbye, Felix." she said and she put down her phone

A few seconds after, I started hearing sobs from her room. I leaned on the wall as I listen to her cry. She is hurting. She is still hurting. This is the first time I heard her cry this bad.

"Why... What did I do to deserve this? What did I do?" she cried even more

They are right.

She won't be happy if it's not with Felix.
