Felix's POV

I woke up and felt a headache. Fuck. What the hell? I slept early last night and didn't even get up to go to the bathroom, but my head still hurts. It's 9 hours of sleep, wasn't that enough?

"Chaerin-"

What?

I did my morning routine before I go out of my room. I know she loves me no matter what happens but I want to look good, and smell good to her. I mean we're still in that stage where we had to keep making ourselves better, physically.

As I got out of my room, I found Yunho in the kitchen. He is cooking something while he is wearing an apron. What is he doing here? Did Chaerin plan some surprise?

"What are you doing here? Did Chaerin hire you to be our cook so she would look like she cooked it?"

Yunho chuckled and set the table.

"Should I keep myself quiet and pretend I didn't know?"

He didn't answer and finished cooking.

"Where's Chaerin?"

"She's... in the office of the chief." he said and he sounded like he is thinking if he should say it

"Oh. Why?"

"Chief asked for her help. Dad found out about her being creative and all. You know, we're planning on having this uh... By the way, have you tried the fruits I gave you last time?" Yunho

"No. Not yet. I was planning to make a fruit shake today for Chaerin but I woke up too late. I guess I'll try it later."

"Oh." he then started fixing the table and kept shaking his head as if he is not agreeing with his self

"You okay? Did something happen between you and the chief?"

"Nothing. We're fine." he said and continued to ignore me

"Okay. Anyway, I am planning to bring Chaerin to the other island. I could set up there, right? I wanna make it a romantic night. Did you know I proposed to her last night?"

Yunho sighed.

"Wow. Did something happen? You seem bothered."

"Chaerin left." he said

"Left where? Oh. You mean she left to go to the chief? You told me that already-"

"No. She left the island this morning. A man named Sujin picked her up and left the island." Yunho

"What? She left without telling me? For what reason? She didn't even wake me up."

"Because she doesn't want you to stop her. She wants to leave while you were sleeping. Felix, I'm not in a position to tell you this but your parents talked to her-" Yunho

"Who? My parents? What? When? I don't understand. They were here?"

"They are here." Yunho

"How did they know I was here?"

"I'm not sure but I am surprised as well when we saw them. I tried to stall them away while waiting for you guys but they really wanted to see you, and they seem to know about it." he said

"Fuck."

The reason why I wanted them not to know my whereabouts is because they will probably talk to Chaerin about that stupid marriage. I know I am a royal and there's nothing I can do but follow their rules, but fuck that!

I don't want to get married.

I am here in the living room waiting for my parents to arrive. Yunho told me to leave the island and follow Chaerin but that's not what I'm gonna do. I don't want to run away and leave the problem as it is. I'm gonna talk to my parents and make sure they understand what I want to happen.

"Felix." Mom called as she saw me, along with Dad

"What did you tell Chaerin?"

"We just explained everything to her-" Dad

"Explained everything? How? That she should leave me because I'm in an arranged marriage with someone you guys wanted me to marry? Mom. Dad. She is a royal too. I can marry her-"

"Felix, you know that's not how it works. Song clan is part of the jury, and you know of all people- we should be the first ones to follow the rules as a royal." Mom

"Fuck that jury!"

"You can't be with Chaerin! You need to marry Song Aina or we will lose the our rank. We can't lose this rank to some people. You know how they rule, Felix. You know what will happen." Dad shouted

"This is not what I wanted to happen. I would never want something like this to happen. Before, I admire you so much because of your passion and sincerity to serve this country... I was wrong all along. You were never that person I admired-"

"Felix! That's still your Father!" Mom shouted

"I'm not saying that as his son. I'm talking as an ordinary person getting blinded by his all pretend kindness when in fact he just wanted the title to himself. Why? He is scared to look useless in front of everyone because he is always a royal, he was born royal."

"Why are you saying that to your Father?!" she once again shouted

"I am telling the truth Mom. Anyway, this is nonsense. I don't want to be a royal anymore. I don't want to be a king. I certainly don't want to be in your position. I am stepping down as a prince. Fuck that title."

"Felix, you can't do this." Dad said

"I can, Dad. I will do this."

"You can't step down-" Mom

"I don't want to be a King, if it means losing Chaerin."
