Chaerin's POV

It's already dark outside and Felix hasn't come home since he left an hour ago. He said the chief wanted him to come and discuss something important- it wouldn't take long as it just needed his decision for it. Why is he not here then?

I took a bath and just wore something comfortable. Should I go out and look for him? I'm getting worried. He doesn't bail on his words.

"Your highness." Yunho called as he knocked on the door

"Yes? Coming!" I said and opened the door

"Prince Felix asked me to bring you to him. He is waiting..." he chuckled

"What? Where is he?"

"He is in the office of the chief. Shall we?" he asked

"Okay."

I followed Yunho to where Felix is. I'm not sure where we are gonna go but I'm hoping that this is not something dangerous. There are still people outside and they are doing something, but whenever they see me, they would greet.

As we entered the office of the chief there is no one here except the chief who is currently signing some papers.

"Where's Felix?" Yunho asked

"He just went somewhere." Chief said

I didn't talk and stood there-

"Are you ready to marry Felix?" he asked

What is he saying?

"He is probably preparing himself right now." he smiled at me

Are they serious? Is he telling the truth? Did he not come home as soon as possible because he is planning something? A marriage? What... I don't understand what's going on here.

"Excuse me. I forgot something in the house. I'll get it and come back."

Before they even respond, I hurriedly left the office and started walking to the same path we took earlier. I was on my way when I found a familiar figure standing not far from where I am.

"Chaerin? What are you doing here?" Felix asked

"Where did you go? I was in the chief's office."

"Oh. Did Yunho bring you there? He did not do a good job for keeping you distracted." he sighed

"What? Why?"

"I wanted to surprise you." Felix said

Uh...

"Come." he said and held my hand tight

I felt his warm touch, and an electricity rushing through my veins. Fuck. World paused. What is happening? Is this some kind of side effect of the good he cooked for me the whole time we were together?

Or am I just in love with him?

I saw some lights at the seashore, a blanket on the floor, an umbrella, a small table in the middle, candles, and some food. It was arranged in a romantic set up, where you can tell it's for a couple.

"Surprise." Felix said and looked at me

It's so beautiful. Perfect view, perfect set up, perfect time, with the perfect person.

"I love it. Thank you!" I said and hugged him tight

"Let's sit." he said

We both sat down. He was explaining that he was preparing this the whole day with the help of the chief and Yunho, that's why he was so busy and he can't even spend longer time with me after we had lunch.

I am so mesmerized with this setup.

We started eating what he prepared while I kept admiring the view. Though it's night, I can still see the wave of the sea because of the moonlight, plus there is a light that Felix setup.

"Now I get it why you wanted to live near the sea."

He chuckled, "It's peaceful."

"Yeah. Well, I guess we're gonna have to settle here once we got married."

"We're gonna go wherever you want. I will make that happen even how impossible it is." Felix said

I'm just so amaze how great this man is. I never expected for us to come to this point where we are so down with everything just to be with each other. I mean he did all the work. He did all the effort.

"Felix. Thank you."

"You deserve everything that will make you happy." he smiled at me

"You know I started liking you after having the dream, and the crazy me thought that I shouldn't like you as I'm scared to experience the same thing we had in my dream. Now I kind of regret it."

"Regret that you forced yourself to not like me?" Felix

I nodded, "Well, it didn't go away. I'm just distracted that I thought I forgot you and my feelings for you but it was always there. I always love you ever since."

"I should've gathered my courage and asked you out the moment I realized I love you. I should've done that." he chuckled

"I, thank you, for every effort you did just to make me feel loved. I am so lucky to have you. You are the most wonderful person I ever had."

"You're so good with your words, huh?" he smirked

"I stayed here and learned from you!"

"Just admit that you have always wanted to flirt with me, and you prepared a lot for it." he teased

I just rolled my eyes and continued eating.

My relationship with Felix is so unpredictable. I never expected this to happen, nor it will come to the point that we will be able to confess our feelings for each other.

I must say that he is so brave for not giving up on me and his feelings-

Felix opened a small box, "Chaerin, I love you. Will you please marry me?"
